I'm such a cheapskate!

Ok. I'm a frugal guy, real frugal...I hate to spend money on almost anything.

I've been doing a full body weight routine for a couple of months now, to "prepare" my body a little, as I want to start lifting again. (Have been out of the gym for at least 15 years now)....

I've checked out programs and want to give the Stronglifts program a shot. Now over the years, I have collected stuff for working out...

I have an olympic set (300lbs)...many different "other" weights and plates...bench, pull up bar, etc..etc...

What I lack is a squat rack. I've been scouring CL and haven't found anything I like. So I'm considering "building" my own. I know I can buy one for approx $400 or so...but I"ve found all sorts of "homemade" ones on google for a much cheaper price tag.

So have any of you built one before? I have all the tools I need, and I'm pretty handy with constructing things in general, so it doesn't scare me at all...I'm just wondering if anyone here has done it, and did it meet your needs?
