NROLFW and diet

I'm interested in adding more heavy weightlifting into my workout routine, so I picked up new rules of lifting, read it cover to cover and went over how to properly perform some of the exercises with my trainer. The only question I have left is how much should I eat? I'm 5-9 166 pounds with 25% bf. I really want to continue losing some fat (I'd like to be closer to 150 lbs). TDEE minus 20% works out to 1928 calories a day so I've been targeting 1800 (I figured this should account for any inaccuracies in my food logging, even though I try to weigh and measure everything. I also try to get in at least 100-150 grams of protein a day. However when I read NR it suggested I eat much more than I have been eating while lifting. Can anyone else share what has worked for them?
