I set my goal to 1,300 a day - MFP had me at 1,200 as well. I aim for anywhere between 1,200 and 1,450 normally - depending on exercise. I wear a fitbit and on a normal day for me I only burn 1,680 - so 1,300 calories is plenty for me on those days. I average about 1 lb loss a week - if it stalls I will up calories alittle.

My calorie goal is 1460 and I am usually about 200-300 under that most days. I lost 4 pounds the first 3 days and I dont weigh again until Monday. I have started drinking water like crazy adding those liquid water enhancers. I can drink nothing but water by doing that. I am starting Hip Hop Abs on a daily basis next week when my company from the weekend leaves and this should help my weight loss.

MFP set me at 1200. I eat 1200. If I work out and I am hungry I eat more. I don't usually go over 1400 on any given day. I am short - 5'1". 1200 is enough for me. Some people say they starve. 1200 is probably not enough for most people but it definitely works for some. I also sit all day at work. I average about 1 pound loss per week. It has always worked for me. I may stall at times but it still averages to 1 pound per month. And I eat much healthier at this calorie amount. If I am allowed more I tend to think I can eat a cookie for the rest of my calories.
