About 2 years ago I was diagnosed with borderline high blood pressure. Typical readings were 140/90. I was put on Lisinopril (10 mg) and told to lose weight. Late in January I was still at 140/90 so my dosage was increased to 20 mg. Also, I was told by my doctor if I didn't lose 20-25 lbs. I would eventually have a stroke.
Thanks to MFP I have lost 24 lbs. since February.
As part of the follow up to the treatment they want to test my blood for correct potassium levels. I went in yesterday and my blood pressure was 119/81! Yay! Waiting to hear from the doctor on Tuesday to see if I can discontinue the Lisinopril.
