Hey All,

I have an undetermined MCTD which makes exercise difficult due to the joint pain it causes. I was wondering if anyone on here has a similar condition and if so, could you offer any advice for exercises that don't cause pain or accelerate the damage?

Thanks!

I too have MCTD. I get flare-ups often and thought I couldn't be active. I have joint pain daily and it has even caused me to have plantar fasciitis and Achilles tendonitis. It feels like I my feet are being cut every time I take a step. I have started using heel inserts and feel much better. I started taking fish oil and joint supplements and drinking tart cherry juice. That has helped with the inflammation.

As far as exercise, I do what I can. Try riding a bike or swimming. Those were the two I could do starting out. Once my body got used to it, I tried other things like Zumba. What have you been trying to far?
