Could I be eating too few calories?

According to MFP I should be eating 1200 - but I've upped mine to 1300, because I feel like 1200 with 15 pounds to go still is too low. But I have been eating 1300 for over a year with NO weight loss. And, 4 weeks ago I started crossfit 3 days a week (burning between 300-400 per class) and I eat back about 200 each day I work out. After all this, this month I have still no lost weight OR inches!! I'm feeling incredibly discouraged. Any suggestions?

I would say stick with what mfp suggests, including eating back the calories with good choices like lean protein & veggies. Make sure your profile is accurate as far as being sedentary, etc. And if you're not already, weigh & measure your food. Many people are way off on their measurements. I have noticed people who stick with the same caloric intake have a plateau at a certain point & their bodies adjust. As your exercise varies, so should your calories. Personally, I don't go as high in carbs as it suggests for me. I find that my body doesn't do well with carbs, even the "good" ones like fruit & certain veggies. So I tend to only have more carbs on intense work out days with intense WODS.

Good luck! And don't be surprised if you gain weight at first with crossfit. I got more muscle tone which put me up a few pounds but now it's going back down as I get a bit leaner.

I think you could DEFINITELY be eating too few calories. Upping your calories and adding weight training (if you aren't already) can make a huge difference. Just make sure the calories are good calories. Here are links to two posts I've been reading about this very thing.
