What's your take. Do you have an age limit on getting your face painted and bouncy castles ?

Can't have kids, and it's a town picnic.

If you have kids there you have a built in excuse to act no older than they are acting.

    It's one of the perks.

If you're with friends and you're all acting immature it's ok.

If you're by yourself and no one else is doing it ...you're either going to be the cooler older person who's acting carefree or that creepy person that parents warn their kids about.

In my experience, someone usually winds up injured in those bouncy houses. Bigger person landing on a smaller person. In this instance, you'd likely be the bigger person so....
Face painting is good fun though.

You're only as old as you feel, is what I say.

I play with kids like a kid all the time. My kids, others kids, whatever. Life's too short to be old people.

I went on a bouncy castle today. I did have an excuse, though. My 18 month old wouldn't go down the bouncy-slide by herself and my son wasn't big enough to help her up.

I think without kids it's a little creepy...unless it's a party themed for adults with a bouncy castle meant for adults.

    Face painting though? DO IT.

    yeah...this...

Personally, I say there's no age limit on either, go and have fun and yay bounce BUT since it's a town thing and you have to deal with the public and society's norms...I'd just stick to face painting and do the bouncy castle at a more private thing.

Or, can you borrow a friend's or relative's kid for the day?

I'm getting all dressed up like a demon faerie and heading to a Ren faire tomorrow, so I'd say there's nothing wrong with a bit o'face paint. But even *I* would avoid the bouncy castle... weak ankles and all that. ;)

Facepaint first then no one will know who is in the bouncy castle. Get in your cardio but don't squish the kids.

    never!

although bouncy castles need to have some limits, you can't have lots of 2 yr olds and lots of 12 yr olds bouncing on it at the same time very easily because the little kids might get hurt. So if there's likely to be a lot of kids of different ages (plus adults who want to join in) I think it's necessary to have some kind of system, e.g. 2 bouncy castles, one for little kids and one for big kids (and adults)

I personally went on a bouncy castle just the other week, it was a lot of fun. It was just me and my kids and my friend's kids at the local mall, they let me on because it was closing time and it was just the kids that I'd arrived with who were there when i went in there. Usually they don't allow adults.

Face painting is fun for all ages. But double check with the bouncy castle people as they usually have age/height/weight limits for different sizes/types of bouncy castles.

(We used to know a guy who owned a business renting bouncy castles out and he had different ones for adults than for kids.)

I am 29 and fairly overweight and I have no problem jumping into the bouncy castle.

My brother, his wife and the other family who's kids and I were in the bouncy castle on the other hand just facepalmed themselves.

I had quite a bit of fun with friends recently donning a Velcro suit and flinging myself against a cloth wall. I was a little disappointed that I could never manage to get myself completely upside down. That was designed for adults though and if the bouncy house is for kids, and you don't have kids, then it's a bit strange if not downright creepy. Face painting? Whatever works for you.

This is one of the few times that I feel fortunate that I look so damn young. Nobody questions me when I get onto the bouncy castle! And, if any of your friends have kids who will be there, you can use them as an excuse to do it and I'm sure your friends will enjoy getting away from their kids for a while.

I think it's funny how everyone is calling the OP creepy or saying she has to conform to "society's norms".

If you want to do the bounce house do it. Grab sme friends go and screw what everyone else thinks. Life is too short to waste time on other peoples opinions. If given the opportunity I would totally do it.

You should only do a bouncy castle when you are accompanying a kid or else it just looks creepy.

As far as face painting goes. I dontl think anyone cares.

I get temporary arm tatoos at fairs.
