Calories,calories ,calories?

First off yes it about calories I'm sure they are millions of posts on this subject, but it could it be mine is different? may be Im not average height may be I don't need as many calories as my 5ft 11 husband or my female nieghboor at 5ft 8.

It could be, couldn't it?

So I have been on myfitnesspal since Jan 1st 2013 and I have lost 25 lbs in total, I have 16lbs left to lose,I lost my internet for a month and was unable to accurately track my calories I didn't lose or gain during that month,I have been logging in again for a month now and I had my calories at 1200 well I lost another 2 lbs. which is okay but Im not sure what my next step should be Im a stay at home mom of 2 daughters 14.5 months and turning 3 in Aug I do what most sahm do so Im not totally sedentary I was exercising more but lately not so much ,I'm trying o figure out what amount of calories I need to continue to lose weight.I will be honest and say that most of time exercising is the last thing on my mind. I walk sometimes with my daughters in their double stroller which is like 20lbs without them in it around our block twice uphill. MFP says if I want to maintain my weight which is 126 I need to intake 1600 calories a day, and to lose half a lb. a week I can eat 1350 but If I want to lose a pound to 2 lbs it needs to be 1200.
recently changed my cals to 1350 my dairy is open ,mind you it changes I don't eat the same things all the time in fact somedays I eat junk food ohh noo lol.

My stats

height :4ft 10
age: 29
cw :126 '
gw 105 to 110
medium frame

is 1200 okay minding the fact that I'm not where near average height, what I use to intake was around 1600 and I stayed at 150.5 till Feb of this year. I maintained said weight from the day after my oldest was born aug 10 th 2010 and after my youngest march 2012.

Please help my head hurts just thinking about it, this calorie intake confuses me .

I personally would go for what MFP gives you for losing 0.5lb per week and eat your exercise calories back (or at least a good chunk of them). With so little left to lose, 2lbs per week is far too aggressive... and even if you set your goal at that you probably wouldn't reach it just because MFP won't let you go below 1200 calories and you would need to in order to get your deficit large enough to get to 2lbs per week.

Another way you can try... I know it's confusing... is figuring out your BMR and TDEE. Eat between those two numbers.

I eat my exercise calories back almost every time by the way ,I figure I'm already at a deficit so why not eat them .

When I first came to MFP I wasn't sure what activity setting to put in. I used Sedentary as a SAHM that spends a lot of time online haha... it turns out my actual burn at home is right around what MFP says for the "Very Active" category - like as if I were a construction worker haha.

If you set your thing to Very active and put in that you want to lose 1/2 a pound weekly, what does it give you for a target?

lol construction worker you made my day
okay so for myself at very active w 2 workouts in a week 30 minutes each 1,570 for 1.5 loss a week.

at active /1,470 w no extra exercise for 1.5 a week

Try it for 0.5lbs per week... since you are super close to goal 1.5lbs may be too much.

I have it set as lightly active and 2 workouts a week 30 mins each, and at 0.5 lbs loss a week it equals 1,350 a day ,guess I'll see what happens .Thank you for listening :)

If it gives you 1570 for very active and 1.5 lbs/week, it probably gives you 2070 for .5 lbs/week, right? So you probably should be eating more than 1350. Your actual daily burn may be as much as 2300 calories. Up to you though... but eating too little can cause weight loss to stall.
