I'm back on the healthy losing weight track after falling through the cracks for ~ten months, thanks to college.
I've been doing a modified paleo diet. The aim is to have my carbs ~100-150 per day.
That being said, I've been eating really healthy, and I feel like I've been consuming a good amount of food, but the food I'm eating is so low cal that I'm only getting around 1000 cals. I know that's not good, but if I eat more just to reach my limit, I'm going to go way over on carbs, which isn't a part of paleo/primal blueprint.
Suggestions/advice? Has anyone out there done paleo/primal blueprint and experienced this?
I'm not hungry at all, the food I've been eating is quite filling.

Why do you have to go over on your carbs to eat more food? Chicken, eggs, fish, basically any animal protein, which if you're following anything close to a paleo type diet you should be eating a lot of. Even adding some extra olive oil when preparing the foods you're already eating would work, and nuts/nut butters are pretty calorie dense with not too many carbs. Where are your 100-150 carbs per day coming from?0

If you're eating 100-150g carbs a day, that's 400-600 calories. So, half of your calories are from carbs? How about protein and fats, which is what paleo involves a lot of?0

Healthy fats would be a good way to increase your calories with out increasing carbs. Fats have 9 calories per gram, while protein and carbs only have 4 calories per gram.0
