Baseline protein

I am a 43-year-old female, 5'4" 116-118 lb, BF 14.6%, training for a marathon and I also lift weights and do interval training. I was told to take in 155 grams of carbs and 97 grams of protein a day. So are these numbers supposed to be a baseline intake, and I increase the numbers as MFP tells me? When I add in my workout tonight, for example, my carb and protein needs went to 222 and 133 respectively. Am I understanding this correctly?
