So I started the 30 day shred a little over two weeks ago and have been doing it every day with a rest day once or twice a week. Today will be day 15. Also, since then, I decided to increase my caloric intake from 1200-1500. I have been feeling better and not as hungry as I was on 1200. Today when I got on the scale, it says I am up 4-5 lbs from where I was just a few weeks ago. I am so frustrated and upset! I dont get it. To make things worse, I got a call yesterday that my wedding dress came in and had a meltdown this morning :O( Has anyone had the same issues? And did it eventually come off? I feel like I am doing it all for nothing!

yes i gained 5 lbs when i did 30 ds the 1st time and it will come off. Mine came off at the very end when the program was done. it's your body adjusting to the more cals plus water retention from the program. in the end i lost no lbs but inches0

oh i hope its the same case for me!!! im so upset i wanna give up but i guess ill keep on going..

When you up your cals your body needs to adjust, give it time.
Are your muscles sore from 30ds? If yes you will be storing extra water weight for muscle repair, it will go in a few days.
Other reasons for weight fluctuations TOM and high sodium intake0 -
Yes, my muscles are sore, I just finished day 4 of level 2 yesterday. Not too sore today prob because today is my rest day... I finished TOM on tuesday and also started a different birth control pill on sunday...Wondering if I should go back to 1200 cals but I know I need to give it time, very frustrated though

Don't give up - you are on the right track! A bit of a gain is completely normal - it's only been two weeks, you have to give it time. New exercise, new calorie intake, and just normal weight fluctuations can cause a few pounds to show up on the scale. Don't let that number get to you. If you're not doing it already, grab a measuring tape and start recording your measurements every few weeks. Pay attention to how your clothes fit and to what you're seeing in the mirror. Often you'll see changes there while the scale is still messin' with ya and showing no loss or a gain.
Meanwhile, keep eating well, exercising, drinking plenty of water, and getting good rest. You can do this!0 -
DON'T go back to1200 cals!!! stick with it and let your body adjust to all these new changes, it will take time... I would just carry on like ou have and don't worry about it until you are done, then do weight and measurements and pics, i think you will be happy...0

I stayed the same for the first 3 weeks of 30 Day Shred, then lost about 1.2 pounds the last week. The very last week I noticed big changes in my progress pictures. Changing your cals and adding 30 DS is probably why you are showing a gain, I don't think it's a true gain at all.
I've been eating 1800 cals a day (I'm 5'4 and 137 pounds)0 -
Thank you everyone! Believe it or not you have made me feel a little better. Im thinking of maybe staying the hell away from my scale for a month or a couple weeks at least and then see what happens. That damn thing makes me crazy!! Thanks so much again, Ill let u know how I make out, should you care lol0
