My daily allowance is 1300 calories. Two options:
1. I sit at the computer and do no exercise and I eat 1300 calories.
2. I exercise a lot and earn back 500 calories. I eat 1800 calories (1300 + 500 earned by exercise).
Result in terms of calories is the same each way. In theory I lose 2 pounds per week in each case.
I assume the second one is better for me. I am not denying this. I just wonder how please?
I am guessing there is more to it than just number of calories and weight loss?
Edit - The title should have been 'Just a thought' - it doesn't let me edit that.

Exercise is not for weight loss. Exercise is for health. So being like to walk up two flights of stairs, ride your bike for 10km if you want, be able to pick up your 20kg child. You want to be able to do these things and that's why you exercise.0
