30 Day Shred

I want to start 30 Day Shred tomorrow. I have attempted it twice, but never made it past the first day. Other than just sucking it up and doing it, anyone have any advice or motivation to help me get through it this time?

Drink protein shake(1 scoop) right after each workout, i think it helps and you don't have to start up with weights right away. i started with 15oz cans and then to weights. Am currently on Day 2 of level 2.

The farthest I've ever made it is the tenth day so I don't really have advice on how to get all the way through. If you need motivation though I'm also starting it tomorrow. Feel free to add me. :)
  • Its hard at first but I promise it gets a lot easier. I couldn't even finish half of the 1st level when I first started, and now level 1 is a breeze. You just have to remember that it really is only 20 minutes and it may seem intense but you've just gotta push through it and before you know it, it'll be over! I'm still surprised sometimes when it finally ends...I'm like really? That was all?

I basically went from no exercise straight to 30DS. I did it 30 days straight no breaks (now I don't recommend that I recommend 5-6days a week) But either way I did each level 10days. And There's nothing anyone can suggest other than just do it! If you want it bad enough you will do it. You can do it. You just have to have your mind set that you are going to do it and you will. Just push through it. Yes the first few days are tough you'll get through it!
    Good luck!

I just finished my 30DS yesterday. I was lucky and there happen to be a group forming, so I joined. It was a great group and we posted our progress every day. Knowing I would be posting to the group helped keep me accountable.

I'm planning on starting it tomorrow, too. I've started it once and made it three days. I think I got sick or my kids were sick and I just never went back to it. Good luck!

All I can say is just do it! Level 1 is great! At first it seems it's too hard, but believe me, it's not. By day 5 you'll see how easy you're doing, and after finishing the circuit, you'll get this feeling of accomplishment and I think that's the cherry on the cake each day. Today I began level two. although it was my second attempt, I did finish it this time and am so happy because of it. Just make yourself finish the whole circuit one time just so you can show yourself you can do it. Good luck, and tell us how it went! :)

I'm 3 days in and doing pretty well. Don't be afraid to modify exercises and if you absolutely have to, pause the video and rest a moment. You just have to get up and do it.

I usually always give things up but I've done the 30 DS once and have now started it again. I think I only managed to stick to it because I kept telling myself it's only 20 minutes a day and you do get results with it. I lost 5lbs and 9 inches the first time round!!

It's tough and I did take more breathers to start with but it really does get easier.

You can probably use the youtube video. There's a bunch of talking at the start that you can skip past. I bought the set through Amazon Instant Video (~$5) and am pretty happy with that. I've heard that it is on Netflix too.
