I understand - totally. Same boat a bit - 3 children, all c-sections and I hated my body, sooo much. It is going to take time, and dedication! I can see a big difference already, keep at it! If I can do it, you totally can!

It's amazing how such cute little babies can wreck our bodies, huh? You're in the right place to get back on track. Keep up the good work!0 -
There's definitely a difference! Well done.
I'm also post 3 c-sections, 1 stone down, 3 stone to go. Not done my progress pics though.0 -

Yup, I can see a difference too - and only in a couple of weeks - way to go! Good for you. Keep up the good work! :drinker: Cheers!
And I love that your husband feels that way and actually verbalizes it - that's fantastic - I wish mine would say the same.0 -
Here ya go!
You're looking great. These things take time and persistence!0 -

Don't be ashamed, your body has given you four children! And after your start becoming more active and eating better, you'll be amazed at what your body can do. Learn to love it for what you have done, what you can do now, and for the potential that you have to improve yourself. You are off to an awesome start!0

i think all of us who need to lose large amounts of weight can really feel your pain. i'm in the process of losing 115-120 lbs. I'm down 43 lbs. as of today, and it is still hard, every day. there are days i don't feel like i've even lost a little bit of weight. but those days are getting fewer and farther between. it'll be the same for you.
you can do it. hang in there and keep working.0 -
First of all, welcome to MFP! You're gonna love it here.
Secondly, its great that you have a loving and supportive husband. It definitely helps when your partner is with you when you make such a life change.
And yes, I can see a difference. Keep it up.
Add me if you'd like. I am on here everyday, through out the day. I will offer as much support and motivation and I can muster.0 -
Are you kidding me? No really, there is a major difference in the photos. Relax, it's working, you're doing it!
You're also in a more fortunate position than most- you have a loving supportive husband, and you have the drive and motivation to change your life around. You say you're not a strong person but you sound plenty strong to me! It does take time, but it gets way easier the more you get into it, and the more you lose, the easier it is to stay on track. You become your own motivation!
Stick with MFP, it works, and be an inspiration to your friends and family! Best wishes!0 -
We're all here to improve ourselves and be accountable and you've done really well thus far! You can see a change in the right direction and in the next few weeks you'll see more and a few weeks after that even more change... Get excited about it, you seem to have a lovely husband and family and you can do this!0

I'm with you!
I played a lot of sand volleyball when I was younger, and football, and basketball, you name it. I decided to post my "before" pics, and when I actually saw them had second thoughts. I did it anyway. It sucks, but this is a good, supportive forum, and it HAS helped me maintain my discipline. My wife's family loves taking pics....
Keep it up!0 -
I also had 3 kids, I was 165 with my first one when down to 115 and 5 yrs later had my second one and went up to 170, the weight with hard work (1 yr) went down to 117, 3 yrs later had my third and last one (girl! have 2 boys) went up to 180 and im currently 146 with a goal weight of 110. my body has bounced back pretty good, the only thing im changing is my tummy, Im having a tummy tuck late january. My husband has been putting money away for it. Im guessing thats the only thing you may need, but everything else you can fixed it with hard work! and yeah, I can already see a change.!!!0

Yes, I certainly see a difference. You've taken the first step by becoming more active and that's so important. If those pictures make you uncomfortable or ashamed, use them! Make them your motivation.
The next step is to start (if you haven't already) logging everything you eat. You can learn so much just by recording what you're putting into your body and then you can begin to make small changes. Take it slow, so that your changes will be lasting ones. As you lose weight and continue being active, you'll be amazed at how much stronger you feel.
Add me if you like, and good luck on your journey to reclaiming your body.0 -
I can definitely see a difference, your doing a great job. I am 21 and my highest weight was 230lbs. Ive never been pregnant, so I can honestly say I was heavy because I ate too much and didn't exercise.. rather than having something cute to show for my weight gain. I know how hard it is to show the world your body, I still haven't been able to show my pictures (but I will when i get to my goal).0
-
First: holy crap, you are one fertile lady!
Second: you've made great progress! Stick with it. You are definitely doing the right thing for your body. Awesome job, keep it up!0 -
Indeed, there's a huge difference there. Well done! That's gotta be a size, at least.0
-
Prou of you madamluck and my wife and i have four too ! Congrats0
-
I definitely see a noticeable difference. You are already a winner by making the decision to do something to improve yourself. This is usually the biggest obstacle for most people. I congratulate you on your success to date and will be here to cheer you on with your future successes.0
-
Yes! I can totally see an improvement. Remember, you're your own worst critic! Don't be so hard on yourself. Your courage to post those pics has given me the courage I need to get started. I've been on a bit of a downward spiral the last few months. At my heaviest weight ever in my life and need to lose 70 lbs. I'm not much of a social media gal and usually just read posts but don't comment. But I want you to know that you have helped me! Keep at it!0

thank you all SO much for the encouragement, support and kind words...i was so nervous posting these photos..when you feel horrible about the way you look you dont want others to see it too but i now know im doing something right and to keep going!! my family is amazing with supporting me.my older kids like to workout with me also so they help me to keep going and push through it...i love MFP..its helped me so much and has played a big part in my progress0
-
I can definitely agree with your feelings. In Feb of 2007 after I had my last child I started at 272. Five years later...just weighed in this morning at 192.7. It is a work in progress darlin and will take time. There is definitely a difference in the pics.0
-
Grrrrrl I can see a difference....keep up the good work.
It just takes time, ugh!
You can do it.

Major difference - way to go!!!! Great job taking the first step to being healthier - it's not about how you look as much as how you feel!!! It's terrific that your husband and kids are helpful and supportive. Best of luck to you - you CAN do this!!0
