Microwaving provides me extra time at the gym. Ergo, microwaving destroys my fat cells. V. Dangerous!!!
:laugh:0 -
Start? I never stopped!0

I just microwaved cauliflower cheese, took 8 minutes. Normally it takes 30 minutes and twice the amount of washing up. I love microwaves. :flowerforyou:0

THANKS for the posting this topic! my sister will never use a microwave b/c she is scared that when you use them they will make your food radioactive. and has always said something when i use one. :indifferent:
It's good to know that there is somr research that can assure me that Im not making the wrong decision by microwaving my egg whites in the morning
I might show her and bring this article up to her and see what she has to say.. but it might bring up a fight LOL0 -
Microwaving saves lives.
If I microwave food, I don't heat up my house, become incredibly overheated and angry, and go on a hulk-smash rampage.0 -
LOL well played0

i didn't have a microwave for 5 years.0

Well, now that I have your permission, I'll be sure to do that.0

My grandmother wasafraid of the microwave. She used to heat up all her food on the stove in a pot.....and then walk away and forget about it because she was in her 80s. But the microwave was dangerous.:grumble:0 -
Just microwaved cheese grits and corn beef hash:happy:0

I nearly forgot how to cook when my microwave was out for 2 weeks.:laugh:0

Oh yes! MUST make sure I have enough protein!0 -
I have been microwaving my food almost exclusively for over two years. Very little that I can't prepare using one. Less cook time, less cleanup... :happy:0
-
Love it sidesteal to funny, I have to use the microwave because I spend a lot of time spot reducing so I need a quick meal. Love your humor Bro0

I completely agree. It's quick, uses less energy, and it lets you skip the oil in lots of dishes.
However, I'm going to go ahead and make a related point. DON'T microwave plastics. For that matter, don't boil or bake plastics. Apart from the monomers themselves being leeched into the food (at relatively low concentrations), there are various polymerization catalysts (which typically are heavy metal based), conditioners, stabilizers, etc which are present in the plastic and leech into food with heat.0
