  • They better give you the money back or ask if you can have one of there air planes and a pilot because all that money they charged you is just enough. Now instead of waiting in traffic in a car you have a air plane to get around with. Tell them it's one of those choices. Or put it on the news or sue them. It's like ever since this economy has been down hill everything else has gotten worse.

Looks like Southwest screwed a lot of people because of problems on their side.

I did take someone's advice and blast it all over Twitter and got...nothing. Not even a RT. I did file with the BBB and will mail my letter to the CEO tomorrow. I complained on their website and they sent me an email saying 'sorry that our systems weren't running correctly.' That's IT. They seem untouchable and no one cares that they stole $19,704 from us!

that's pretty crazy, i imagine it was just a case of a weird error causing your request to be done in a loop.

i've flown southwest 3 or 4 times in the last few years. Never had any trouble.

according to that article, they are already working on refunding them. they haven't stole 17k from you, you'll get it back.

Logged into my bank this morning and Southwest had charged my account nine times AGAIN, totaling $5356.80, creating a deficit and making several overdrafts come through.

Been on the phone all morning with Southwest and Wells Fargo and no one can tell me how this happened. Again, 7-10 business days before this one will be fixed too.

And in the meantime...no money again.

Everything had been fixed and they DID steal money from me. The money was CLEAR out of my account and they had to return it. What, they just borrowed it?

    Interesting info from Consumerist.com:

    http://consumerist.com/2012/08/southwest-bills-customers-multiple-times-in-failed-facebook-promotion.html

"While many debit card customers are understandably angry it can take 8-10 business days for the incorrectly debited funds to be put back in their bank accounts, it should be noted that Southwest can not really do anything about this delay.

This is not airline policy, but is instead a stipulation of the Electronic Fund Transfer Act, which states that, upon being told of a possibly erroneous transfer, banks have 10 business days to provisionally credit customers' accounts.

It's possible the funds could be returned sooner, but unfortunately that is up to the financial institution and not Southwest. "
