Phitbits Row the world

I've just had a 6 mile walk with the dog this morning so great start to the day - my fitbit has given me an extra 400 odd calories for it lol and I am just going to walk to the shops.
I have the nrwlfw book but I have just been dipping into it so haven't got my head around the actual programme yet - I am not sure how I am going to work up my calorie burn for today - may have to go to the gym later but I was so tired from walking back after I killed it on the machines don't want to repeat that without getting a proper bag for my kit - I felt like I was carrying my 7.5kg kettlebell after the class lol - so may wait until the afternoon so that I get can the car. Failing that I will do some fitness blender videos0 -
How's everyone getting on for super saturday? I've had a long run, and done some body weight stuff, so am now over 2k on cals. (Tomorrow won't be quite so impressive, I'm sure!)0
-
Hey everyone. Sorry, bit of a slow day today. Needed to rest my legs, so have put off my hill run till tomorrow.0
-
Tomorrow (and generally weekdays) I am back on it, sorry weekends are difficult for me as I can't go as hard and long as I'd like to (bf likes to make exercise more "social" than burny...) which does my head in but I guess it's better than nothing!0
-
As of Sunday evening in East Texas, USA it looks like the Phitbits are running in 3rd place. That is amazing and I am happy to be with you all.0
-
We're doing a great job. Looking forward to a good week ahead. :-)0
-
Today is looking like an awesome day from us all so far!0
-
Yeah, we did really well today:
Cals 7928
Miles 3964
I've got an unplanned holiday coming up later this week, and will be away from wednesday till some time over the weekend. I won't be able to get onto the spreadsheet. Would someone be able to pick up my burns from this thread and put it in the sheet, and could someone take over on reporting cals to Lee for me, till I get back?
J0 -
Jane, I'll be happy to help. I'll start Wednesday until you tell me to stop. OK?0
-
my knee is tender after yesterdays killer session (PB for me - 10 mins xtrainer, 20 mins treadmill, 30 mins cycle - interval training, 20 mins x trainer, 10 mins rowing machine, 20 mins cycle then 10 mins treadmill - phew ) today is a weights day and the sun is out so I am going to take the dog a massive walk to be kind to my knee then will do some kettlebell and dumbells tonight - I have a weights bar but not confident on form - but itching to try deadlifts - have a great day everyone.
it looks like we have fallen back a bit on the map, but "shrug" we have racked up some impressive calories0 -

Brilliant, thanks Bill!
I'll definitely stick to my running schedule while away, but not sure what else I'll get up to (there's a lake, and we'll be rowing, maybe swimming, and almost certainly walking a lot!), so I think if I can't get a signal, I'll have to log when I get home Saturday or Sunday. If it gets to bedtime and I haven't logged, put me down as a zero and I'll sort when I get home.
I'm not too bothered about position on the map, for now. Some groups have crazy burners, and I don't really want to encourage anyone to do that. We're doing fantastically well, and we're having a good time. We're motivating each other, and that's all I ever really want from this kind of challenge. Plus, what we have on our side is consistency. My experience with these things is that after the first couple of weeks, the consistent teams are the ones that pull through best.0 -
sounds like that's going to be a great holiday break
I feel my calorie burn was a bit low today, but broken the back on my uni stuff ( and the laundry bundle/housework woo hoo) now so I can have guilt free exercise now lol.
I know I am not a runner so I can't get the massive burns like some of you guys so I will just work on doing smaller sessions and more of them as I was really tired after that killer 2 hour cardio and I would rather mix it up a bit. It's great that you have said that it's more about motivating as I am loving the chatter0 -
Hope everyone has an amazing week and weekend, we've done fantastic this week.
I'll be logging my burns over the weekend but don't know how easy it'll be for me to get on the spreadsheet so if I havn't made it onto there could someone please stick it on there for me!
Tomorrow I'm going to please my pup who will be delighted when I take her out for a 6 mile run, and Saturday I'm going to Longleat with the bf so I assume there'll be a ton of walking around, and then Sunday will be another run...so hopefully I won't be slacking this weekend!
Have a great one everyone x0 -
I'll make sure your burns make it onto the spreadsheet, Laura, no problemo.
Six mile run sounds reeeeally fun! I wish I'd got into running while my dog was still young so he could come with me. Now he struggles to even manage a 2 mile walk!0 -
Hi everyone - back home! But off again on Monday, for two days - got to help a friend move house.
I'm going to add in the cals I burned for the two missing days on the sheet - I'll put them in as if I did them all today, so it will look like I've burned stupid, but you know what I'm doing. :-)

I didn't have much time before work yesterday, so I was quite chuffed with myself that as I only had 10 mins left to exercise, I started jogging on the spot then thought I would just run through the house to move about so I did 10 mins of running from the patio door, through the hall, through the kitchen then back round - I felt great and was thinking ooh this feels so good tomorrow I am going to run outside when I walk the dog - but last night my knee flared up to the point where I was struggling to walk the dog and took me ages to get back to the house. so p'd off now! - I love running, I love the feeling you get when you are running - but my stupid knees don't agree with me.
I was going to go to the gym this morning, and I have strapped my knee up through the night - and I was thinking strap it up, take some painkillers, maybe use some deep heat on it...should be good to go and I can just ease in nice and slow on the cross trainer etc - but instead I am just going to take the dog a big walk and hopefully the rest day will benefit me - so it's gonna be a low calorie burn day - sigh
edited to say - yeah Jane I saw that burn on the spreadsheet and was like *jaw drop*0 -
Looks like we're still in fourth place on the map - though I don't know how up-to-date it is. Still, we're doing so well!0
-
We've just moved into 1st! :-)0
-
looks like we are still doing fab0

Hey, Phitbits. Hope you are all doing great today. Just so you know, I am in teacher inservice training prior to the start of our new semester at East Texas Baptist University and my church decided to have Bible School this late in the summer. So, I am busy from can until can't. Not much time for exercise and I have not ridden my bicycle in a week. Next week will be better. Greetings to all.

No worries bill, hope the obligations are good fun! X0
-
well lovely phitbits, we're in the lead, and nearing the finish line. I think if we rev it up just a little, we'll cross the line in the next few days.
I'm going to run and cycle today.
Bill, no worries, I hope you have a great week! :-)0 -
Just 5732.77 miles left to go. 2 days max.
Do we want to go round again? :-)0 -
Oooh this is very exciting! Going to try to get out for dog walk and cycle today then gym tonight so expect 1000+ again from me today all being well weather-wise... x0
-
I didn't get out on the bike, but did get my run done at least. :-) It was hilly, so a big burn.0
-
wow we're doing so fab....shows what a bunch of consistent people can achieve in 16!? days!
Well done everyone!0 -
I'm actually really impressed with us. I didn't think we'd be serious players this time round as we don't have any crazy big burners. But I think you're right Laura, it is about being consistent. We've done such a great job of this!0
-
Nothing from me today, guys. Sorry if I'm letting the team down
Hopefully I can still help us to win if I put in a massive burn tomorrow!0 -
a rest day doesn't need an apology - don't be silly haha0
