Ladies, any luck losing while on BC?

Hey ladies,
I recently went off birth control. I'd like to get back on the Pill for a lot of reasons, but my experience with it has been that I haven't been able to lose weight AT ALL while on the pill.
Being on the Pill has never caused me to gain weight (I was lucky, I didn't get the crazy hunger cravings some people get)
I don't gain, but I don't lose anything either.
This could be the Pill, or it could be from other factors.
Anyone out there had luck losing while consistently taking birth control? I was taking Ortho Tri Cyclen FYI.

did you ask your doctor? what works for others might not work for you.

I use Nuvaring. I've been dropping pounds as normal on Slim Fast diet and healthy eating and exercising everyday.0

I've lost over 60 pounds while on birth control. What my doctor said is that birth control doesn't cause weight gain or keep you from losing weight, but it can increase your appetite (even slightly) and cause you to eat more, without even realizing it. It can also cause you to retain water.
Be super diligent about tracking everything you eat (stay away from salt) and exercising and the weight will come off! Good luck!0 -
It never stopped me from losing. I was on a generic of seasonale when I lost 20lbs 4 years ago. I have Mirena now and have lost 14lbs.0

I have been taking mine for the majority of my weight loss. I dont think, for me, it has made much of a difference either way. Maybe the ones with lower hormone levels would be better? I havent done any research, just a theory.0

Thanks for your replies!
Unfortunately the lower hormone level ones don't work for me :P I wish!0 -
I've lost 27 while on the pill. It probably depends on a multitude of factors. Age, type, dosage.0

Oh birth control!
I was thinking something else.0 -
I take LoEstrin 24 FE and I've lost 30 pounds pretty easily.0

I'm on a low hormone BC, and I lose slowly but I doubt it's because of the pill, it's probably because I don't have a huge amount to lose.0

I'm on my third BC, trying to find one that works for me. I gained 15 lbs with the first one, then noticed I started losing weight (about 10 lbs) with the second one. I'm on a low hormone one now, but haven't been on it long enough to notice a difference.0
