    I did it! Three days in a row of making my daily goals! I drank all 8 cups of water, walked a mile on the treadmill, was well under my goal of no more than 900 cals over (only 530 over), and I watched the entire Jillian Michaels DVD. I'm definitely going to have to work my way up to doing the entire DVD. There are actually parts of it that I can't do with the bone spur on my toe. :cry:

    Well, my goals for today are:

    Drink 8 cups of water
    Walk 1 mile on the treadmill
    To not go over my cals by any more than 800
    Do the warm-up section of the workout DVD (as out of shape as I am, that will be a workout for me!)

    Cathy...WOOOHOOO on the long jog!!!!!!! That's GREAT! Keep at it and you will find it gets easier!

    Amy...nice work on meeting your goals! Keep it up!

    I live in northest Montana! Today is windy , cold and we had about 8" of the white stuff since yesterday morning! Can not even go shovel when the wind is like this, it came out of the east yesterday and today it is out of the west!!!! Good job at going to the gym, get a daily planner and journal each day of fitness, it helps and soon you will be challenging yourself like I do! Happy sweaten !

    My goal for the ninety days is to do P90X with Insanity series, eat more protein and less sugar! Of the three, the fitness will be easy!! So far in the six days all has been going good!! I am hanging in with ya girls! Just been trying to get some cleaning done!

    Down a couple pounds. Sure it is just water though.

    Had Oatmeal for breakfast again.

    Struggling with lunch. I am watching my best friends daugther and the mom wants me to make mac and cheese for lunch but I know I can't resist eating it if I make it.

I bought it just before the holidays and started it, but as everyone knows I took the holidays off. Now I am back and want to start it again. Right now I have been walking just to get back into the swing of things. If it is the shred we can check in with each other. Let me know what you think. I pretty much am at the same spot you are with keeping my goals.

    Oy vay with the poodles already. Up, down, up, down. Oh well. It was better than I expected.

    Who created corndogs? Shame on them for making them so delicious and addictive. Good thing I'm going away for a couple of days. Maybe they will disappear from my freezer (NOT).

    Got in my hour P90X shoulders/Arms with the ab ripper x !!! Good thing I have been into fitness or I would be wiped out!!! Been good on my cals too!

    I've had a super busy day. I changed my car insurance around and trying to see what coverages I really need is driving me insane. Its so much more than full coverage these days!!! I'm a little obsessive about things. My mind goes crazy when I have toooooo many decisions. I didn't leave work until an hr late, lots of patients!!! Not enough time. Well... I got my new car today and I'm just excited its my new play thing. Mercedes 2010 C300. You know, for all the suffering through school. LOL.

    Love ya all and I'm needing some rest.

    Oh I did a ab workout and the elliptical today, in the MORNING! See Verda youre right... I'm gonna love the mornings.... MAybe!!

    Kel - I didn't get the shred DVD. I got "Banish Fat Boost Metabolism". I got it because of the title and since I've heard so much about Jillian Michaels. It's got 7 circuits on it plus the warm-up and cool-down. I like the fact that the DVD is set up so I can play the whole thing or I can pick and choose the circuits I want. I've heard of shred, but I didn't know that was Jillian Michaels. I'm a little behind when it comes to work-out DVDs. :blushing: I may need to look into getting shred too. I'd love to have someone to check in with. :smile:

    I made my goals for today! I walked a mile on the treadmill, I'm drinking my 8th cup of water as I type, I did the warm-up part of my new DVD (warm up?! I was puffing at the end! I SO need to work out more!), and I was under my 800 cals over goal.

    My goals for Thursday:
    Increase my water intake from 64 oz to 72 oz
    Only over my cals by 700 or less
    Walk 1 mile
    Do the warm up part of the DVD

    well, just did my first ever long jog. i jogged 35 mins with 3 one mins walks. my HR was where he wanted it. i longest i have ever jogged was 15mins. this was a big thing for me. (pats self on back). it felt good. got a blister, need to double up on socks.

    time to get laundry started and hope to sell a house, need to make that phone call.

    That is awesome! Did you ever hit a point where you felt like you could just keep going forever? I call that my jogging groove. I have a bad back, but when I hit my groove I just feel so good that I don't feel a thing. But when I eventually stop jogging, I usually feel the back pain pretty fast. That doesn't happen when I weigh in the 170s though, so I figure the pain is worth being back there faster.

    I really want to start jogging again. I don't have a treadmill and I am not used to this very very cold North Carolina weather (since I moved from Florida about a year ago). I used to have a gym membership, but I canceled it to save money. I just want the weather to get nicer soon so I can start back up with c25k and watch my belly fall off. :-)

    I found a great (maybe new?) product! They're Arnold's sandwich thins and I bought them in multi grain. They're like flat hamburger buns - super soft and delicious. I've been eating them for breakfast with ham and cream cheese or just cream cheese. They're 100 calories and 1 gram of fat. I mostly skip bread since it's usually not worth the calories and sodium for me, but these little sandwich thins are definitely worth it so far.

    ali....live on those thins they have good fiber which for me the more the better. i just got the new ones by p farms. haven't tried them yet. yes, was in the groove, but the blister was not.
    tamm.....my gosh nice car. doesn't it feel good.......keep up the great workouts. i like morning too, come on over to the morning side.
    verda....your stamina is great. you look very fit.
    amy.....you can do this. it gets easier once you get into the groove again.
    lula.....great job, 3 down. i just heard someone say the other day. instead of looking at it as one day at time, try 2 hours at a time and see if its easier.
    kel, amy....do you have exercise on demand. they have some great workouts on there. shed 1 2 3 are there. i want to try the dance ones just to see....

    well, i didn 35 on elliptical today. blister sore and my ribcage hurts. was hard. i think i liked the jogging better. i know legs will sore tomorrow. was doing a machine and pulled a thigh muscle. so had to take it slow on the rest. kept stretching it out. need to get in better water counts now.

    Amy I am going to have to look for the dvd that you have the next time I go to the city. Our little town dosen't have any place to buy workout dvds. However I still would like to check in with you just to make sure we stay on top of our goals. I am going to start the 30 day shred today. (again) Maybe this time I will get all the way through it. My goal is to complete it on the 2/7/10 It's our 4 th year anniversary of being together. So I figure it is a reason to go for.

    Cathy I don't have cable. We still work on the good ole anntenna and converter box. I am more redneck that anyone would guess LOL But thanks for the suggestion. How are you doing? I hope you find out what is going on soon. (Hugs to you)

    Well off to make breakfast and head out to work. Lots of raking and hauling of debris from an orchard today. But willl be coming home to do the shred day1 level1. So far I have been able to stick with all my goals. However I did have 2 almond kisses last night just before going to bed. So I went over on my calories a litlle. But I did burn over 800 calories yesterday. So I feel like I did pretty good. I know one thing I sure am hungry just before bed.

    I agree! I am sick of cold-wind-snow!! We had around 8" with MINUS 30 degrees!! It's NOT worth going out to shovel until it gets ABOVE zero, right now it is about noon and it is still 18 below!!! Gotta LOVE Montana but it is actually very pretty sorta pristine!
    Yesterday I did my P90X shoulders/arms with the ab ripper X and I just finished the Insanity Max Cardio Conditioning, that is 7/7 in the exercise category. I also have been doing well in the protein and less sugar goal too!! It is sooooo good to see you girls getting in your fitness, yeah I am sooo proud of ya! Check out dvd's on ebay too! That is where I have gotten my library from because my closest CITY is about five hours away!!! Keep it going and log it just like you log your food, it does make you feel like you accomplished something at the end of your day!!! Check back later girls!!!

    Well completed my shred workout - YEA (Day 1 level 1) Also did three hours of major raking and hauling of wet wet wet leaves. I am exhasted. Also finished my food diary and am under by 42 calories. Not bad I actually burned over a1000 calories today. Now I am working on the rest of my water. I have one more liter to finish. I am sure I will probably drink more than that before this day is done. I think I am going to lay down with my puppydog for awhile. She is still not doing so very good. Last night she was staggering around and today she is dragging her right back paw when she walks. So I don't know if the meds are doing much good. But it has only been three full days since she started it. I am going to give it a full week before I check back in with the vet. He said that it may take that long. So I guess unless she takes a turn for the worst I will just have to wait and see what happens. On that note I will sign off for now or as Pooh says "TTFN" Ta Ta For Now....

    Ali- I eat those all the time. I had a turkey burger on a whole grain sandwich thin just last night. I love it because I dont like alot of bun. it gets to be too much! I also often make a blt on one. It allows the calories for the bacon since the bread is so low in calories. They are a good find!

    I have the flu. It started late last night. I took nyquil last night so its a blur but this morning even the bottom of my feet hurt....what the heck!? Took the little man to school and slept the day away. I feel much better tonight but not great. I messed with my stomach by taking the nyquil so now I am dealing with reflux... just cant win.

    Tomorrow is a new day. Lets hope its better!

    i have my ct scan this morning. had to get up early to eat and drink a cup of coffee. nothing to eat or drink 4 hrs before, drink the stuff they gave me 2 and 1 hour before the test which is at 10:30. feeling better as far as sore muscles today. will do a run this afternoon after doc. thought i could do it before test, but, can't drink anything.

    need to get something things done around here.

    I made and surpassed my goals yesterday. I drank 72 oz water, walked 1 mile on the treadmill, was under the 700 cals over goal (I was under 300 cals over!), and I did the exercise DVD. This time I did the DVD before I did my walking. That made a huge difference in how I felt. I even went on to do circuit 1 last night! :bigsmile:

    My goals for today:
    72 oz water
    walk 1 mile
    DVD - warm-up and circuit 1
    stay within 600 cals over

    And I got on the scale this morning for an unofficial weigh-in. I'm now at 159. I've lost 0.8 lb since Tuesday! I'm going to keep it up over the weekend too!

This time I did the DVD before I did my walking. That made a huge difference in how I felt. I even went on to do circuit 1 last night! :bigsmile:

    My goals for today:
    72 oz water
    walk 1 mile
    DVD - warm-up and circuit 1
    stay within 600 cals over

    And I got on the scale this morning for an unofficial weigh-in. I'm now at 159. I've lost 0.8 lb since Tuesday! I'm going to keep it up over the weekend too!
    I have to ditto what amypyr says to ya girls I wish you good health and that even goes to the beloved pet! I have 2 dogs and a cat and I miss them when they are not around! amypyr, awesome job!! keep it up!!!!

    test done now gotta wait until 5th of feb to find out results unless something shows.

    was going to stop at mcdonalds. but, i came home and heated the left over chicken breast made a sandwich with the thin and a few chips. was so good. with in my carb goals. i will do my walking this afternoon.
    nurse said i had to drink lots to flush the stuff out of my kidneys.

    well, need to get a drink ;)

    Didn't eat that great yesterday.

    Really not feeling well today so not working out. Excuses excuses =D. My right ovary has been hurting for 3 days. lol. That probably doesn't make sense, but it's right where our ovaries are and its the right side. So yeah.

    Whoa! Where did the week go? Not that I'm complaining! School has been busy this week, but great... better than my previous weeks, so I guess a 2 wk break does a body good! I'm planning on working out all weekend and getting some studying done :-) my wt is stable at 146... so I'll push to keep the scale moving!

    jennifer that's where my pain is. but, one doc tells me he took the ovaries and one tells me they are still there. the ct scan should tell either way. that's why the scan.

    i just hit the finish my day button, and where it says you will weigh______in 5 weeks it just told me 391. :noway: i sure hope not. been a long day did get in a workout. i think i pushed too hard with the long run. just did a walk today. got the HR where he wanted it. it turned into a crazy afternoon and night. DH and son wanted pizza so they got their pizza and i made me a sandwich and chips to fit into my carb plan.

    To The Shred-ouch it hurts. But Day 2 Level one completed. Almost didn't do it. Came home from work after being in the rain all day. Started dinner then remembered YOU NEED TO WORK OUT!!!! So I did it. Really tired but made it. Posted all my food and am 9 cals under. This is a good thing. Now I just need to drink one more liter of water. Will get this accomplished before bed time.
