    I find it even more inspirational than I normally would if only because you're from my neck of the woods! I love reading success stories on MFP, but for some reason, they mean so much more when they're local.

    Rage4lightnin, I couldnt agree more. Everything he has done I want to do. To know he has trained in the same weather and basically the same terrain as me, lets me know it can be done. Im up in Boone County and have family in Paris (tbh all over the state). You hear so much about how fat KY people are that stories like these need to be known statewide. Its a shame my wife has to work or we would attend the Ironman race. To me this isnt a great story for just Mark, its a great story for the state of KY.
