What have you bought...

I've bought exercise balls that have done practically unused until the dogs popped them. I bought resistance bands that are sitting in the junk drawer. I bought a gym membership that goes unused 99.9% of the time. My best purchases are all the natural foods and the ingredients to cook from scratch (rather than those high sodium loaded with preservatives prepared foods). We bought a house with a pool and I just bought a jump rope tonight. Oh and good walking shoes. ALWAYS good walking shoes. Does the adoption fee for my dogs count? They are what motivate me to get up at 5am for a 3 mile power walk. I feel bad leaving them cooped up in the house for 8 hrs if I don't take them for a good walk first.
I love my dogs, but they aren't good workout partners haha. I have a 30lb mutt and a dachshund with little legs that has to run to keep up with my stroll. Obviously I wasn't thinking fitness partner when I got the little one  But they get their walk in the park and I get my gym time. I actually love the gym. Never thought I'd say that... And I agree with the natural foods comments. My bf gets mad because the food bill costs more than eating out. It might be cheaper to eat out for us but I like having fresh quality foods. Feeds my soul.0 -
Sports bras that don't f*cking stretch after one use.0

Over the past several years I've bought a bathroom scale, lifting gloves (I haaaate calluses because I pick at them lol), mini food processor, a single serve blender, running shoes, sports bras/workout clothes, good headphones that stay in when I'm doing cardio, various protein powders, the Women's Health Big Book of Exercises.
Things on my current "want" list include a heart rate monitor and an armband for my iPhone.0 -
I had a food scale for cooking various things that needed to be weighed along with blender/ice cream maker/foody think that chops stuff up... Never really used it. My ice cream maker container has sat in the freezer un-used for ages.
For the last 6 years, I have always gotten high-quality sneakers. A payless sneaker is actually more expensive than a high quality sneaker. They wear out faster and by the time you've replaced it at the cost of a nicer pair, your high quality shoe is still going strong.
I bought the fitbit along with it's scale and logging food has helped me more than anything.
I think the ridiculous weight gain on vacation and turning 40 in Dec. has been the biggest thing to get me motivated.
Next I am buying measuring ladles for sauces.0 -
I've bought a lot since starting this in May..
Most important:
HRM (Polar Ft 4)
Fitbit
food scale
Plus at the top of the list--- fat loss monitor, new bathroom digital scale, Jillian Michaels Body Revolution Program (and a few more DVDs of hers), weights, floor mat, workout clothes, shoes, roller skates, personal size blender (for protein shakes).
And now, thanks to my weight loss so far, I've bought some shorter shorts. As the only shorts I had were the longer bermuda shorts that would come to my knees :happy:0 -
First I bought a phone with apps just to use MFP. 5 lbs lost bought multiple sets of measuring cups and spoons so they are always in reach, 10 lbs down I bought a small digital food scale no excuse not to measure, 20 lbs down had to buy new walking shoes, 35 lbs down purchased a polar hrm... That is my story so far, Have no idea what will be next though,
I am saving all the money I used to spend on snacks and junkfood during the day in glass jars so when I hit that certain weight I can splurge and go clothes shopping !0 -
When I joined MFP back in April, I wasn't sure if I would stick with it, so I didn't buy much - just some new sneakers and a couple of workout outfits from our local thrift store. After I proved to myself that I would work out at least 4 days a week, I started buying myself some rewards: (I already had a crockpot and a food scale.)
iPod Nano with watch band so I can listen to audiobooks while on treadmill (downloads are free from our library)
Polar FT7 HRM
New Rules of Lifting for Women book
Some cute capris and tops to wear at the gym0 -
I'm not trying to lose weight but I'm seriously trying to get some fricking muscles, so I bought the Select Tech dumbbells because I'm tired of my Bowflex and wanted to try dumbbells. I've never used a dumbbell ever until now and wow its a lot different than the Bowflex and I can't lift as much free weight as I can with the bows GRRRR I also bought Les Mills Pump and a Vita Mix blender and pray to God I am full of muscle by the end of December.0

I borrow my sons dog once a day, as my son is tired after work and doesn't walk her. The dog enjoys it and so do I, and its a good ice breaker in the street and down the dog park. Also for rainy days as today i wouldn't be without my wii fit. Happy buying!!!0

I found at a thrift store a Food center devise that has attachments that allow me to Shred, Slice, Grind, Mix, Blend, and even has an Ice crusher. I got it for 12 bucks and it is worth well over 200. I also found a scale there too.
I found a Total Gym for 25
I have plans of an Elliptical, a stationary bike and maybe a bowflex. I just have to wait for the right person to sell them online or at a thrift store.0 -

Polar HRM, running shoes I was fitted for, sport socks to prevent blisters, a head light and blinker light so that I look like a cruise ship when I run very early in the morning...easy to spot in the dark by sleepy or still drunk drivers at 4am. Oh, and an Ipod, good headphones (I downloaded great high energy music to it), and dog poop bags for my running partner! LOL! Also a yoga mat, pilates and kickboxing DVDs, handweights and one of those huge exercise balls.
I also buy fresh fruits, veggies, meat and hardly buy anything in a box or can or bottle anymore with just a few exceptions. I buy greek yogurt, unsalted almonds and fish. I have an awesome blender for protein shakes and a ton of reusable water bottles.
But...I didn't buy it all overnight. I started out and got stuff as I went along. So that is my whole list for over a year.
Edit: Oh yeah...sports bras and underwear. Lots and LOTS of bras!0 -
Compression wear... new track pants... new workout shirts and about 2000 new songs to listen too at the gym... padded weight lifting gloves.... new sneakers...0

I bought a Wii fit game and I've enjoyed it very much and have improved my balance and muscle tone at the same time.0

My husband bought me a $50 weight scale that just kicks booty! I had those reg old $10 ones and I hated it. This new one is sooo much more accurate, we can set different goals for each of us on it, counts BMI and it's tempered glass. nice, He bought me 2 2lb hand weights, Jillian Michaels 30 day burn video, i got more measuring cups and spoons. Now I want a scale to weigh the food. But next week I am throwing these POS old white shows away and getting me somethin I can work out and walk with,,Oh and I bought a pedometer.0

I got us an infrared sauna, which is especially awesome when it hits the winter months. There is a small weight loss when using it, but I got it cause it just makes me feel so good. I crank it to 140f and sweat it out for an hour while watching the TV. Just melts away stress, aches and pains.0
-
a set of adjustable weights that go up to 24lbs

several pairs of workout pants (as I lose weight I need smaller ones)
sports bras
