Day one of C25K

Options
Ok, so I told myself that once I was under 200lbs I would start the Couch to 5K. Today was my first day and I did WAY better than I expected! Calculated it all up and I ran a half a mile! Not too shabby for a 41 year old woman who weighs 199 lbs and has only ever "jogged" to the bathroom! Now, honestly? I hated every last second of it. The greatest moment was the sheer amount of sweat that happened after I stopped!!!! That's what will motivate me to do it again

WooHoo! I did c25k, I'm 5'1" and about 40-50 pounds overweight and I'm running 5k's now! It's going to be hard at times. But know you can do it. Half the battle is keeping your head in the game.

This is a great site that has lots of tips for new runners. I found it's help me to get my mind on board: http://completerunning.com/archives/2006/09/12/100-beginner-running-tips/

Also, I just started a blog http://momto5k.com chatting all about my journey. I even have a post scheduled tomorrow chatting about my journey with c25k. Good luck!
