"You LOSE weight in the kitchen, you get FIT at the gym". I love this.

I lost weight faster before I started exercising. Problem was, I could never stay on the wagon because diet alone isn't enough of a lifestyle change. Now I'm trying to get fit, instead of just losing weight, so I can be active. Changing your day-to-day activities gives you a much better change of success, I believe.

    For weight loss, it's DIET.

One can be in a coma
    on a tube feeding,
    or otherwise not mobile,
    and
    still
    lose
    weight
because of too low of calories.

Weight loss is simply having NOT enough calories, no matter how much you move.

For maintenance, and general health, exercise is KEY though. A 4-part documentary on this (watch free in link below) confirms this:

btw, as a healthcare professional, when *I* refer to "diet"
    i mean what a creature eats.in general,
as in "Wild horses eat a diet of grass plants"

whether or not it is a low calorie diet, or other attempt to lose weight, or a fat-laden diet,
one's having extra or less weight
    is tied to their 'diet'.
One can exercise heavily and regularly
and not lose weight, and even gain weight,
even gain fat onto their body
IF they eat too many calories.
