Need help please

Hi everyone! I am a picky eater..I don't like many veggies, not a water drinker except when dancing and I have to be careful when exercising because lots of things trigger my asthma. Dancing is the only thing that seems to be ok although sometimes my rescue inhaler gets a workout. I am a junk food junkie always have been and I am having trouble giving those up although I am trying to eat "healthier junk". A couple years ago I did South Beach and lost 4 sizes in 4 months and didn't have any issues giving up junk but now it's tougher for me. I am a SAHM and do house work and play taxi mom with taking the kids to work or where they need to go, pay bills, grocery shop, etc. I like easy things for food because if it's going to take a while to make something to eat then I'm going to grab the junk. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Breeze

Try baby steps, changing your poor eating habits a little at a time. I don't know your eating habits as your diary isn't open, but set small goals and slowly increase your number of goals after you achieve each one. A goal could be to eat a homecooked meal X times a week. Or only have a junky snack X times this week (a number less than what you do now). Focus on your food and worry about the exercise later.

Also, I tend to cook in big batches. I will purposefully make extra food to have leftovers for quick dinners when I am on the go. Some things I make in big batches (soups, lasagna) and freeze in portions for a quick heat and eat meal at a later date. Doing this ensures you have no excuses for grabbing crappy food when healthy home made stuff is just a zap in the microwave away from being a meal.

Lastly, you have to want to do this. No change will stick without you having the motivation to want to change your lifestyle, to want to lose the weight for good. If you don't have the drive within you, you won't get the desired results.
  • Thank you! I do want to do it it's just difficult.
