I thought they were a collectors item from the 1990 era??0

I was completely wrong I thought trolls lived under bridges, and were grumpy... Good to know
Only the one. In Fremont under the bridge in Seattle. . . That's a full-size VW Beetle, BTW.

Hey guise, if you don't eat every 2-3 hrs, your body will go into starvation mode.
What a troll!
Love it. By the way a troll is someone that stalkes and uses the forums to make inappropriate sergestions0 -
They are those wittle doll thingys with the rhinestone belly buttons and funky @ss hair.0

Cmriverside posted the correct definition, but unfortunately, sometimes it also means, "Let's attack the newbie for asking a Noob question."
Sort of!. It means what Cmriverside posted, but people often accuse people incorrectly of being a troll when they disagree with them. Its very over-used and really depends on the context and the way the post is made.
(and please don't accuse me of being a troll as I am disagreeing )0 -

But to answer the original question, that's what a troll does; they say inflammatory things that they know will agitate people and start a sh!tstorm.
And someone else asked what "bumping" was. In pretty much every other forum I've ever seen, "bump" is an acronym for "Bring Up My Post." When a thread is ignored, putting a new post in it will shoot it back up to the top. Most of the time, this is seen as bad manners (and may even get someone banned on some sites). On MFP however, people will use "bump" as a way to bookmark a post. This is because unlike many boards, MFP has no subscribe function; if you want to save a thread to look at later, you have to make a post in it and let it show up in "My Topics."0 -

Haha, I was just going to say that, you beat me to it. Yep, that's a fine one there.0 -
And what is "Bumping" on these treads?
If you post anything in a thread it goes in the "my topics" list. If you have nothing relevant to add, you bump. At least that's what it does here.0 -
Dang it they deleted the I Hate Fat People Rant. It was getting good!0

FYI some people on MFP accuse others of trolling when they disagree with the comment. They use the word to belittle someone else's opinion. So, personally, I'm getting sick of the term.
There certainly is some trolling going on, but just because someone has a different opinion, doesn't mean it's trolling.0 -

I have. I don't like it when people start a forum only for someone else to troll the forum. Trolls just ruin forum threads and try to stir up mess.0

Jamaican Spiced Pumpkin Pie
This rum-spiked pie has a complex, grown-up flavor that’s a welcome change from traditional pumpkin pie. Serve it with spiced or rum-spiked whipped cream to enhance the flavors in the pie.
1 9-inch pie shell (at least 2-inches deep)
1/2 cup spiced Jamaican rum
1 1/2 cups pureed roasted pumpkin, or 1 (15-oz) can unsweetened pumpkin puree
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
3 large egg yolks
1 cup whipping cream
1/4 tsp. kosher salt
1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/4 tsp. ground cloves
1 1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
2 tsp. freshly grated ginger
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Line pie shell with parchment paper or foil and fill with 2 to 3 cups dried beans or pie weights. Bake for 12 minutes, carefully remove foil and pie weights and prick the bottom of the crust with a fork. Bake for another 7 to 10 minutes, or until crust begins to turn lightly golden.
While crust is baking, place the rum in a small saucepan and set over high heat. Boil until reduced to 1/4 cup.
In a large bowl, whisk together the pumpkin, both sugars, egg yolks, cream, salt, spices, fresh ginger and reduced rum. Pour mixture into the hot pie shell, reduce heat to 350 degrees F, and bake for 50 to 60 minutes, or until the tip of a knife inserted near the center comes out clean. If the edges of the crust are getting too dark cover them with strips of foil. Cool to room temperature or chill before serving.
