Insanity shakeolgy

I know people say using the shakeology is good but it is expensive. Is there anything else I can use in its place?

lots of stuff would fill it's place much cheaper.
get whey protein. (I like Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard)
Get a greens supplement. Controlled Labs has a good one
You could get a good multivitamin as well if you feel that you need it. but honestly protein and carbs are what you need after working out.0 -
What is your goal to lose, bulk, or tone? What type of workouts are you doing right now M-F. How old are you, what is your height and weight, can you open your diary so we can take a peak? Are you going for anything particular diet wise that you want extra protein for? How much are you looking to spend? I don't do protein shakes or bars btw.0

Did not realize my diary was closed. I will try to change that. Right now I am trying to lose weight than I will tone. I am doing insanity program on day 12. I just always hear after that kind of workout you should have protein but if I dont have to than thats fine. I was j ust wondering what the thougts were.0

If you are trying to loose weight and tone I would just stick to getting your protein from chicken, egg whites, fish, and so on. Now if your goal was a low carb diet, which I am not a fan of, or to bulk up then you might need help achieving that with a protein shake. However in my opinion, if I only have so many calories to work with in a day, I would rather eat an egg white burrito with hot sauce and ham instead of a shake. It fills me up better and although I do not eat healthy I know its better to get that stuff from food then from a shake. Either choice you make it wont hinder your weight loss as long as your macros are correct and you are in a deficit. I know Wal-Mart has a cheap shake by bodyfortus for 15.00 a tub and today’s paper had a 3.00 off coupon. It doesn't taste bad and I have a tub if I am WAY low on protein and out of chicken, mainly its for my husband but I have used it 2x over the last 2 months. He wants to bulk a little. Who knows maybe you will find out you like shakes. Just do whatever you want that will keep you driving for success and if a shake rocks our boat then go for it. For me my daily chocolate or twix bar is my reward!0

I use whey protein. I don't think it's necessary AT ALL. I just LOVE my smoothies! It's like a treat to me so I like to throw in some inexpensive protein. I don't want to waste my money on something so expensive and unnecessary.0

I use protein powder to help up my calorie and protein intake. The added banana and/or peanut butter also help me get in more calories.
