I recently started running and have been running for 6 weeks. I usually run every second day. Last night I ran/walked 6KM and would love to do the same this evening, but my vastus lateralis muscles are very soar. Should I run tonight? How do people run every day?

When I ran track my quads would ache for the first several weeks of the season. Yet we had to run every day. We just did a lot of quad stretching and after awhile your conditioning peaks and the soreness goes away.
Stretch first and start easy, chances are you will loosen up.0 -
thanks, I will do some extra stretching and carry on and wait for the soreness to go away, which I hope will be soon.0
