NSV-BMI reduction (and a compliment)!

So, I decided to check my BMI this morning. I plugged in my numbers and the screen told me my BMI is 47. I did not remember what it was when I started (though it knew it was considerably more than it is now), so I decided to plug in the numbers for my heaviest weight (302 -January 1, 2011). The screen told me that my BMI had been 57.1 at my heaviest. Then I checked from when I first started my journey with MFP (280-January 2012), the screen said 52.9.
I have lost a total (from my heaviest weight) of 52 lbs.! My BMI has gone down 10 points! 17 more points and I will be out of the "Obese" category! My progress has been slow until recently. Lately, I have really taken off. People are noticing! One lady at work told me this morning that when I first started working here I was really...(she didn't complete the sentence, but I know she meant FAT), then she said, "But now, you are looking so good. I can really tell a difference!"
I know I still have a loooooong way to go, but it really is achievable!
Just HAD to share!

Good for you! And I like that you recognized what your co-worker said was a compliment. Weight and weight loss are such personal things and the whole topic is a minefield that is difficult to discuss. I find that compliments on my weight loss from thin people sometimes irk me a bit, while heavier people can say most anything to me and I don't take offense. Your calling it a compliment will make me think this through a bit more.0
