This is why I keep packs of Nuun and Berocca in the office. Nuun for the electrolytes, berocca for the vits. When I've downed them, I head out and get a bacon roll.
then tea, lots of tea.0 -

If you're keen not ruin your heathly eating then you need to keep the sugars and carbs down due to the alcohol you've had! Thing is, these are the very things you'll crave!
Stick with eggs on wholemeal toast, limit this to one slice of toast......................make it a salad for lunch! Keep off the sugar, pop and caffeine too. Plenty of water though!
Found this too!!!.... http://www.livestrong.com/article/8386-cure-hangover/Hello people int he know,
I've got a hangover from hell this morning and all I want to do right now is stuff my face with pizza, McDonalds, etc.
Can you suggest any healthy alternatives? I'm at work and there are a gazillion places around me that sell oh-so-naughty foods that I'm working hard to avoid!
Any help is much appreciated!0 -

Most of you are wrong, and your bodies are wrong. Fat and grease are what you might crave, but not what you need. What you need is good healthful nutritious food. A good salad, maybe some pasta with marinara. Nice and light. At the same time, you need water, sugar, and salt...that's where the fat and grease craving comes from. I take a teaspoon of honey to start. You'd be surprised at how much this helps. Feeding your body fat and grease actually gets in the way of recovery, rather than helping.
But, most reading this will disagree and will carry on. I'm telling you though. I did a lot of research on this.
If you want to avoid a hangover, simply drink an 8 oz glass of water after every one ounce of alcohol. So, after a beer, glass of wine, mixed drink, or shot, have a glass of water. No hangover. Stay away from sugary drinks. And, no matter how much you drink, you'll wake up hangover free the next day. I promise.0 -
My all time fix is to drink a large soda fountain diet coke. Must be something about the carbonation that works for me
THIS!!!! im glad im not the only one that finds this a cure for my hangovers0 -
Vietnamese... nice bowl of Pho.0

I always go for a banana, a cup of black tea (or green tea) and a packet of Walkers French Fries salt and vinegar crisps - it has all you need plus the crisps aren't as bad as you think!0

Vietnamese... nice bowl of Pho.
omg Pho cures broken legs!!! I love this for anything. Or a really good spicy Tom Yum.
But my fail safe is a single McDonalds hash brown and get on with my day. It helps smack that craving but isn't a huge meal. If it isn't breakfast time, a small fries. Then get into the veg and lean meat like you usually would.
Berocca and sports drinks will help as they get you hydrated quicker (try chemist specific things like hydralyte or something which is better for you) rather than trying to keep all that water in which will probably just make you vomit. I know that's what it does to me.0 -
WATER, WATER, and more WATER!!
and just FYI drinking to the point of a hangover is not good for your body or your calories...sorry
Hope you feel better soon!0 -

Pho is the best for hangovers! Gets me all the salt I'm craving and some carby filling stuff.
Drink lots of water and get some gatorade or fruit to get your sugar up.0 -
You need salt, sugar and water. However you get that into you is up to you, but those are the key elements you need. I recommend some carbs as well if you've got a sicky feeling hangover.
^ And my go to food for salt & carbs is ramien noodles or straight up chicken broth from boullion cubes (high sodium). Works like a charm every time!!! Then just flush yourself out with lots of water. A gatorade never hurt either.0 -
choc.milk and a big greasy breakfast...if I recall...been awhile...8months and14days I think0

Hardee's Monster Biscuit....if you're going down, go epic
Amen!0 -
Honestly, if I'm hungover I tend to go for unhealthy food. Hahaha.
I do love eggs or other such breakfasts foods. Since people tend to crave something greasy when they're hungover, try something with healthy fats in it instead, like peanut butter or avocado or olive oil maybe.0 -
