Tattoo site location - Sexy or Fugly?

So I looking to get two separate tattoos in the near future and seriously cannot decide where to put them and need insight.
- Down the obliques looks cool now but in older age a dragon could morph into a hippos with spikes
- Forearms are cool but basically not going to work with my profession
- Shoulders are a likely location but is kinda boring
- Calfs might work but since I have chicken legs I might be limited to wanting a dragon but it would end up looking like a stick bug.
While I realize that this is very much subjective, I would appreciate insight as to where gals and dudes think tats look good and stay good!

It depends on what your getting and how big. Would you be able to get the dragon on your upper arm like a 1/2 sleeve that would be cool I also love them on the ribs which I think would age well but is one of the most painful places0

On guys, those barbed like chains that wrap around the area between the bicep and delt tie in look cool if you have decent arms0

Can you post a pic of the design you have in mind?0

on the shoulder blade would be a nice spot. and i agree the oblique tats are damn sexy but not sure how they will look at 60 or 70.0

LOL - still working on the arms to be big enough to support a location for a dragon that wouldn't resemble a sea horse0

Shoulder is VERY hot, where it creeps on to back, yummy.. Calf would have to be nice muscular, so maybe not a good option based on what you said. I don't think tats on stomachs are ever a good idea, since that area will almost always increase in size w/o working out0

Legs are grea for tat's because they don't morph as much with age.
Biceps are alway nice.
On back, between the shoulder blades would look great for a dragon, the tail and /or wings could go on the obliques.
That is my $.02 (maybe $.04, lol)0 -
