We may never know the full effects of aspartame or the other chemicals. What we do know for sure is that Coke and Pepsi have both caffeine and salt.
Why would you drink a beverage designed to make you thirsty?0 -
Thats fine i understand i will stay away from them after taking my nutrition classes and watching life longers of "diet, sugar free and fat free" people get cancer.
but correlation =/= causation.

uh ... there is next to no sodium in soda. right around 2 percent of recommended daily amount -- which, in itself, is mostly a useless number for most people.0 -

Because it doesn't make you thirsty.0 -
My personal experience is it causes huge sugar cravings. I was a long time drinker of diet mt dew, generally at least 6 cans a day. When I quit, the sugar cravings went away.0

Actually my grandmother was told processed junk such as this listed pop is exactly what caused her cancer , thus my strict avoidance. since she completed chemo/radiation she refuses to eat any of that. she is by far the most active/fit elderly person i know, she was never like this before cancer. she grows her veggies and fruits and grandpa or my dad hunt her meat. the cancer she got is not a gene it is infact caused by toxions put into ones body. i wish i had half the energy she does, my grandma is the person i look to in all cases for nutrition help.
also about your water comment, with the amount of flouride in some water which is proven to cause cancer you may want to back track that statement to filtered water.0 -
1-2 cans of Diet Coke per day have done nothing to deter my weightloss. Just saying.0

I'm very glad she's gotten past it and has gotten healthy. but your grandmother, I think, was told wrong. twinkies aren't going to cause cancer. the only thing they cause is awesome.
and I'm good with my water statement. but if you are uneasy, remove water and in its place insert 'pants-wearing.'0 -
