Fifty Pounds Down! (Gratuitous Pics)

Around junior year of college, I discovered beer, my best friends, and student union fast food. In high school I was around 150-160 and at college graduation I was at 225! Two years later, I'm 50 pounds down.
I'm 5'9 and pear shaped.
BEFORE PICS (Starting Weight: At and around 225 lbs)
DURING PICS
January 2011 (210 lbs)
(15 lbs lost by: leaving the dorms, making meals in my own kitchen, elliptical-ing 30-45 minutes, 4-5 times a week)
June 2011 (210 lbs)
July 2011 (210 lbs)
October 2011 (205 lbs)
(5 lbs lost by: More efficient work outs by circuit training with my fitter friends) (After these pictures, I decided I was looking like myself again)
January 2012 (202 lbs)
(I was "happy" at around this weight for a while)
February 2012 (202 lbs)
(I was "happy" until I saw this picture, then I decided to take more drastic measures... by joining MFP!!)
April 11, 2012 (191 lbs)
April 21, 2012 (188.5 lbs)
May 31, 2012 (180 lbs) (I also started doing Hal Higdon's Intermediate 10k training a couple weeks before this picture)
AFTER PICS (175 lbs) (NOW!)
COMPARISON PICS
March 11, 2012 and April 24, 2012 (This dress hadn't fit in 4 years!)
March 14, 2012 and July 18, 2012
October 26, 2011 and July 18, 2012
I'm at a 1 pound a week loss, my next goal is 160. Then after that... we'll see! My BMI is still "overweight" and for once in my life I'd like to be in the "healthy" range. I'd also like to be strong and fast(er).
I ran a 7 mile race in 76 minutes at the end of July and I'm running a half marathon at the end of October using a modified version of Hal Higdon's Novice 2 plan. I want to finish that in under 2 hours and 15 minutes. I also want to do a hand stand and more than 5 good push-ups in a row.
Thanks for coming by! Be a thorough logger, don't lie to MFP or yourself, and find an activity you like or else you won't do it.

You look AMAZING! and we have very similar journeys (I'm a little behind though, heh) I too am 5' 9, pear shaped and I am about 205-210 now (water weight is giving me a bad scale reading). I would also LOVE to be around 160, thinking about 150, my high school weight. Very inspiring to hear your story! Thank you so much for sharing!0
