quick protein snack that isn't a shake or bar???

Any ideas?
I try to plan my meals ahead of time, but sometimes it doesn't always work out. I find that every now and then, I need a good protein snack that is low in fat that doesn't require a lot of prep time.
What I don't want: shakes or protein bars. I use those already and I really need to find something different.

Low fat string cheese and greek yogurt come to my mind. Also sliced ham or turkey if you don't mind the sodium.0

didn't think about string cheese... that could work! I'm pretty strict about sodium, but that doesn't mean I can't have ham or turkey at all, that's also a good idea! The yogurt just has so much sugar... I tend to stay away.

Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, baked tofu.
Yogurt isn't high in sugar at all though! Just don't buy the kind with "fruit on the bottom" or lots of sweetener in it. Get the plain variety.0 -

I do the peanutbutter, just get the tablespoon - no bread or anything. I do this twice a day. Its made me want the protein bars less and less.0

A chicken breast. On the go? Put it in a zip lock and stick it in your pocket. When time to eat, you can hold it just like a candy bar.0

hey regalseagall, i do that too. Mix peanutbutter with an egg and the protein powder, sometimes a little sugar, sometimes splenda, bake about 12 minutes. they crumble but are gooood!0

These from Joyful Abode -- 100 calories and 9g of protein. I made some this morning -- a 1/4 cup of shaved Parmesan and a little bit of garlic and onion powder and 6 minutes in the oven -- delicious. Quick and easy to make but you can store them for later too if you need an even quicker snack.

I completely missed your low fat requirement. These have 7g of fat so I don't think they qualify? Sorry!0 -

Personally I add a teaspoon of sugar and microwave it for 25 seconds. Then I just eat it with a spoon out of the bowl. It's a little more moist that way, and I prefer moist .0 -
