I've hear that your body burns more when you 'Aunt' is in town.. but I also just looked at Livestrong.. and they say your metabolism slows down! Hmm.. =/
What do you do? So far, I haven't been doing anything different..

    No need to change. After your TOM your body will catch up.
  • it's a week or less so the the effect is negligible. if you're slightly hungrier then eat more, if not then keep things the same.

    EAT ALL THE THINGS!

    </PMS>

    I try to listen to my body while keeping within my goal. If I'm craving a certain thing, I try to eat a healthy version.

    Lol - in the few days before my 'aunt' arrives, I become hungrier than usual and eat more. I also crave junk food. But the moment she arrives - and actually sometimes the day before she arrives - my appetite decreases considerably. I am less hungry than usual and I have no desire for junk food. It's an odd pattern.

    I try to avoid junk food when I'm craving it, because that makes me feel worse. I find it helpful to eat bananas and cacao nibs around that time. And also I eat liver - my body seems to need more iron at that time, because I get very tired, and liver gives me more energy. I also exercise less, because my body becomes extra hypersensitive as well as very exhausted. Although once my 'aunt' arrives, my energy picks up, my sensitivity lessens, and I feel much better. From my interpretation of my body, I am burning more calories than usual in the week before my 'aunt' arrives, and fewer calories than usual during her three-day visit.

    I agree with opuntia! The week before I am so hungry but during not so much...
