So did anyone catch the spotlight on the diet ice creams on Good Morning America today?? Apparently it is legal by the FDA for food's labels to be up to 20% off on their actual calorie count. Weight Watchers in particular was 8 and 13% higher on theirs while some of Ben & Jerry's froyo and other items were actually 5% under. But apparently there is a brand that promises 150 calories per PINT and when tested was actually 68% higher!!! I'm super concerned about actual calorie counts now that I know they can be so much different "to account for varying potion sizes" even in prepackaged amounts. Sigh. And the struggle continues!

Have a good day, everyone!!

I saw it while I was on the eliptical, but I was not listening.

This is why it is a great idea to journal what you are eating. If you eat under your calories and you do not see a weight loss then you need to look at what you are eating, confirm the portion sizes, and if all else fails, start cutting back. Tracking and reviewing your progress is a GREAT way to identify foods that impact your body in a negative way. I am going to start using the daily journal to track how I feel to get an even better feeling for how foods are effecting my energy.

    Keep on Tracking!

this is the same with everything the FDA approves, including medications.
