working out, hungry!

Stupid question here--when I work out on the treadmill or exercise bike, I feel fine. Now that I'm doing the 30 day shred every morning, I'm starving during the day and can't seem to get satisfied. Does this make sense?

drink more water, eat more protein.
that's all the advice I can give you without your food diary being set to public so that we can see and give you specific advice.0 -
It makes sense if you are working harder. The more calories you burn, the more you need to eat.0

I do drink literally a minimum of 1 gallon of water a day! I just upped my protein at lunch today with a Subway Club, but wanted to make sure the extra hunger I was feeling was due to the working out.0

I don't know what 30 day shred is...so I can't comment with respect to that...but it also depends on how long you are working out.
Working out less than 30-45 min on the treadmill or exercise bike generally shouldn't require any extra nutritional intake for performance or recovery. However, it's possible that you might be depleting your energy (glycogen) stores during a fasting stage. Make sure you take in enough carbs during the day for the activity level you are doing. I realize you are probably cutting them out to "Shred" pounds. Just realize you need some for energy along with mono or polyunsaturated fats.
You can try a little Gatorade during your bike or treadmill (approximately 30 grams of carbs/glucose/sucrose) per hour and see how you feel. Sounds like you are getting enough water and protein but also without looking at exactly what you are doing it's hard to comment.0 -
