Oh My Lord!! I'm so happy for you, even though we don't know each other! LOL I went through all of that in my 20's, and didnt conceive. I wasn't overweight then either. I ended up gettin pregnant when I was 29, with my daughter who is 13, almsot 14 now. Without any fertility drugs, etc. Good Luck to you! (((HUGS)))

Praise God for his healing hand and strength for me to continue working out! God plus weight loss = ovulation! I don't know the last time I ovulated, but it's been a long time. Cycles of clomid and disappointment and broken hearts.. trying to conceive for 2+ years.. IT'S ALL OVER! I'm HEALTHY and NORMAL! Praise the LORD! Now.. ONTO THE BABYMAKING!!
Yay! So happy for you! I have been dealing with PCOS since I was sixteen, so I know about the infertility issues. Praying for a healthy baby in your near future. :flowerforyou:0 -
Congratulations!!! One of my closest friends is heavy and had been told that she was infertile and had to lose nearly 100 pounds before she could even receive invitro-- and she had a one in a million chance of conceiving on her own.
So she started a healthy diet and continued to pray about it and after losing 40 pounds she got pregnant!!!! She now has a one year old precious baby boy! Nothing is too big for God and having a healthy body is key!!!
Best wishes to you & hopefully you'll be posting anothing NSV- "I'M PREGNANT!!!!!" very soon! Keep up the healthy choices!!!0 -

That is so AWESOME!!! I was unable to have my own children due to my weight. I went to the best specialist in the state and he basically told me that I would never be able to carry a baby and so my body wasn't letting me get pregnant. We ended up adopting our three children through foster care. Now that I am able to have my own children, I'm 43 and feel that I'm to old to start over again. Also I have a child with several issues due to the drug and alcohol abuse from the mother during pregnancy. Good luck with the baby making. Remember, practice makes perfect.0

Congrats! Clomid didnt work for me either. I knew the next step was IVF and with that comes weight gain. I was already obease so I decided to try to loose a few lbs before. Dropped 20 and BAM got preggers. It wasnt until then that the doc said I was probably not ovulating due to my weight.
I feel like all gyno's should bring up weight loss for those who are overweight before taking any steps to treat infertility. It's amazing how much better your body works if you take care of it.
Congrats to you!
Mine brought it up but I wasn't willing to face the facts that I just needed to hunker down and get er done! It's taken me a while (3 years) to face reality. I too am in hopes that weight loss will kick start my ovulation cycles again.0 -
