Weeping Angels but also, with Chris Eccleston the gas-maskers "are you my mummy .... Mmuuuuuuuummmmmmeeeeeee"
Tenant is my fave dr (and I go back as far as Jon Pertwee and Tom Baker era)

My favourite Doctor is the one that I'm watching at that moment. Favourite villain would be Davros. And the Master. And there's no way I'm EVER letting a garden statue near my house, hehe...

Has anyone been watching the extended trailers on YouTube? Can't wait to see what happens to the Ponds. All I know for sure is that I will cry like a baby :-(
  • I love what Stephen Moffat has done with Doctor Who, and a lot of the villains he's created. He just has an ability to know what will scare in lots of ways. The normal every day things, that he switches just slightly, like the vashda nerada and the weeping angels.
It's proper hide behind the sofa stuff!
Thank you everyone to writing your comments! And I agree about John Simm as The Master! Truly brilliant! The drums! Can't you hear them?

I've been watching this pretty regularly show since the mid 70s. Went to a Dr Who convention when i was in grade 9. I was skeptical when they first brought the new show back in 2005 but it's been fantastic.

So i don't say it lightly when i say i've gotta go with the Daleks. The Weeping Angels are cool too.

We have a few of the Classic series recorded. Peter Davison is my favourite old doctor as he was "my" doctor when I was a child. Can't beat a bit of Tom Baker though! (With REALLY bad special effects!)

I LOVE Dr Who!! I don't have a favorite villain , though (and I cant believe I cant remember her name since I JUST watched it 5 min ago...) the eye drive chick who stole Melody is pretty freaky, not to mention the Silence! Did I mention how much I LOVE the Dr.?????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Peter Davison is also my favourite classic Doctor. I grew up with Tom Baker first, and saw Pertwee in rerun, but Smith is my all time favourite of the bunch. But comparing the old show to the new show is a bit apples and oranges.

I kinda felt like season 6 faltered slightly, but I get the sense that Moffat is reeling it in a bit for 7, so I'm optimistic. Season 5 was the absolute best though.

As far as the humanoid villains go, I'm definitely a fan of the Master.

As for the monsters, It'd be a toss-up between the Weeping Angels, the Silence, and the Vashta Nerada.

He was mine too - i dressed up as him at said convention, back in 1984. Sadly, no pictures exist. Love the "Timecrash" video starring Davison & Tennant.

    Madame Kovarian?
  • After going through an Eccelston phase, I am stuck on Tennent. No offense to Smith lovers but he isn't my favorite doctor. I don't know, there's just something I don't like too much.
As for my favorite villain, it has to be the dialects. They are just so evil
I can't wait for the new season to get to BBCAmerica. I'm trying to catch up (season 3 now) but it's so hard with work but I'm pushing through. Hopefully I'm done by the season premiere.

I think I actually had a crush on Peter Davison :embarassed:

I loved Tom Baker, although probably because of K9. Colin Baker took the Doctor to some dark places mentally and just wasn't so likeable. Syvlester McCoy destroyed it as a programme, thankfully Moffat has done a good job in bringing him back to life.

    Would you like a jellybaby?

Yes! I'm hoping Any dies. Not because I don't like her; I love her. It's just so rare for a companion to die that it would make Amy stand out more in Doctor Who history and would be long remembered by fans.

I was like this too. But this last season, the chemistry between him and Amy, it really has him growing on me. He'll be around for a while, is the word. After the last two doctors he's definitely not the same caliber in my eyes, but I've grown to like him.

Ahhh I love Doctor Who! David Tennant is my favorite doctor. I just can't really get into Matt Smith. Maybe when he gets a new companion I'll like him more. I like Rory and River but Amy Pond just irks me for some reason. My favorite villains are the Weeping Angels. They are super scary. Although Tennant is my fave doctor, my favorite episodes are those from Eccleston's Doctor, The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances. Those 2 episodes with the "gas maskers" were epic.

So excited that it's back on! We have worn out our Matt Smith & David Tennant collections.

I love Daleks for their hokiness factor, but agree with everyone who says the Weeping Angels are creepy as hell.

I agree. They are particularly insidious in the way they get word completion and correction completely wrong on their mobile devices!

I couldn't believe that Cap. Jack becomes the face of Boe! :noway:

It kind of made me sad for him; especially how he dies saving all those people.

  • FIVE DAYS TO GO.

Anyway, favourite villain...That's a tough one. I think I'd probably have to vote for the Weeping Angels, too - I L-O-V-E Blink, and really love The Time of Angels and Flesh and Stone, too.

And obviously the daleks are amazing, I've always loved the Daleks - A lot of people seem to think they've been overused since the reboot, but I don't think it's possible to overuse the Daleks, love them!

For creepiness factor, the Family of Blood actually really creeped me out. But this is getting really long, so I'm going to leave it at that, but I could post in this thread all day...

Weeping Angles definitely a fav, but I also like the Slitheen, I know they've only been on a few shows, but I recently started reading the novels, and the one that has them in it, is very good, So I instantly took a liking to that character.
