This is a great accomplishment, and you should be very proud! Best of luck to you in the US Marines!
  • It took about a year and a half, but after dropping a little over 100 pounds, I was finally able to fulfill my dream of enlisting in the United States Marine Corps.

I still have about 30 lbs to lose before I ship to boot camp, but there's no slowing down this freight train. This journey has taught me that boundaries are meant to be broken. If I can do it, so can you.

Im a former Marine and boot camp will get you into the best shape of your life. Just do what they tell you, eat everything on your plate. Its going to be a big change food wise from what your used to doing now. You wont have choices. They will reshape you, they know what they are doing. The hard part is when your out of the structured life style of boot camp. No one to tell when and what to eat. Its all closely monitored cafeteria type food but when once your done with boot its up to you. When I got out of boot camp I was 175 a year later I was 190. Still within Marine Regs but I didnt know a lot about nutrition and food back then so it was a lot of pizza and burgers. Very cool you know what your doing health wise going in. Any questions just ask and I will be happy to answer. Of course I went in in 94 so Im a little old school and boot has changed a lot.

    Good Luck!!
