Yes - It is vacation time again! Looking for some help.

So next week I plan to head to the cottage for a week of R&R but I have only been back on a diet and exercise plan for the past 3 weeks so I don't want to lose too much momentum. Naturally I am going to be having a few extra drinks (it is vacation) but no access to my gym or trainer. I am usually good with food.

Any suggestions to keep up with the strength training and cardio?

Hiking is always an option if you don't want to run, if there is water you can take a swim or do water aerobics. Since you have a trainer, as them about some exercises you can do with resistance bands as they are cheaper, lighter, and smaller than dumbbells. Other options would be to use what you have (e.g., triceps dips off the seat of a chair, squats, lunges, bicep curls with a water-filled milk jug, etc.)

Do you have a resistance band? That would help with some strength training.

  • Yes. I just pulled some exercises off the net that are supposed to be good. Thanks!
