This may be the most successful HCG thread ever.

We're WINNING! *sniff* I'm so proud of all of you for hanging in there.

Ah I miss the old days. There would be at least a few dingbats saying "It's great! A doctor in Mexico give me the pills in a brown paper bag. The hair that's falling out of my head is really adding to my weight loss. I'd finish this sentence but I'm literally starv..."

    WERD!

Good luck with your weight loss, but the HCG diet has done nothing but HARM to people I know that used it.

The only reason people lose weight on that plan is you are only allowed to eat 500 calories a day. HCG has been scientifically proven to do NOTHING to help with weight loss or to make it safe to eat only 500 calories a day. It will not protect muscle, reset your metabolism or do anything else the snake oil salesmen that sell it claim. Dr. Simeons was a quack doctor. His "HCG protocol" has absolutely NO scientific backing and is not worth risking your health on.

Any doctor that pushes the HCG diet plan should be stripped of their license to practice medicine because they are being totally unethical and giving advice that goes against the conclusions of all reliable scientific research on the subject.

The HCG diet has been studied by many scientific organizations, and they all concluded that HCG, even the "real" injectable version, is no more effective than a placebo, and eating only 500 calories a day for weeks, as recommended by that plan, can cause more health problems than it solves.

I know some people that put their faith in the HCG diet, and became very ill from malnutrition as a result. Then they regained more weight than they lost. Now they wish they never heard of HCG.

The Government is now in the process of getting all that fraudulent stuff off the market, and it's about time!

I know some people who did HCG Ultra and it worked wonders. I also know some people who tried it, and it bounce back up there again. I myself have not tried it, simply because I can't see myself being successful on 500 calories a day. I appreciate everyone's thoughts, but my experiences have been nothing but good from my observations, as long as you are smart about it. My friends dropped over 20 lbs each in a month, and have kept it off. I think the key is making sure that you don't go back to the lifestyle you had before you started. I personally know that I need to train myself to work hard & make proper eating decisions or I will never lose the weight I want. I Yo-Yo diet frequently and it just isn't sustainable. If anyone is looking for HCG Ultra, I would recommend getting at http://www.myhcgultradiet.com. From what my friends tell me, there are several different brands called HCG Ultra but that is the one they trust.

That being said, I would venture to say that most people can agree, nothing good ever came to someone who didn't want to work for it. I believe that applies here as well.

I haven't tried it but have 2 friends that did - they bought the drops and followed the recommended 500 calorie a day diet. (I'll leave my opinion on THAT out of this reply though.)
One of them stuck to it for a whole month and lost 20 lbs... and now that she's been off of it for a month she's gained 20 lbs back.
The other one stuck with it to get down to her magical "size 2", but was afraid that when she started eating normally again she would gain the weight back so, she started a new regime. She's very happy as a size 2, but is losing her hair because all she eats everyday is rice and chicken and has to exercise for 2 hours a day to maintain the weight loss.
So, hope that helps with your decision making process.

Eat well-balanced, nutritious meals and snacks in sensible portions, indulge cravings sensibly, move your body, and drink water.

Do not consume pregnant lady pee.

...unless it's a fetish of yours, in which case just do it for the enjoyment factor and not to lose weight.

    Literal LOL

If I could eat 500 calories a day successfully, I wouldn't have 60lbs to lose.

Someone showed me a product called HCG Ultra and I'm not really sure how I feel about it. I don't know a whole lot about it other than it's kind of expensive. Has anyone here tried it? If so, what were your results?...were you able to keep the weight off??

I did HcG and gained all the weight back the minute I had to eat normally again (pregnancy) and in less time than it took me to lose it. Skip it entirely. Going Paleo and a bit of walking would have caused me to lose about the same amount of weight in about the same amount of time and have been able to KEEP it off AND get a HEALTHY thin body at the end of it. I wish I'd known that before I shelled out so much money and put myself through the hell of 500 calories a day and only being able to eat like 8 different foods for six months.

Me too. I did three rounds of the stuff and was down 60 pounds. Guess how much I gained with my pregnancy, eating normally not binging - yup, 60 pounds! My cousin has had great results and maintained it for 2 years, now eating a pretty healthy diet, but I think she is the exception.
