I love Progresso Light Chicken Soups, but the Sodium count is outrageous. Can anyone give me an easy to make (I'm not great in the kitchen) low sodium, low calorie soup idea? Thank you so much.

    Anyone?
  • Lipton cup of soup has 10-12g carbs and 200mg less sodium that progresso, campbells, and healthy choice (about 500-600mg, if I remember correctly). I eat them at least once every other week. Because it's dehydrated, you can even boil extra water, which eliminates more of the soduim, or even throw out some of the seasoning.

If you have a crock pot (slow cooker), make it your best friend. Chicken bones and water on low for several hours makes stock that you can add anything to - more chicken, turkey, ham, and of course, veggies. Beans are also good for slow cooker soup additions. As we get closer to fall and cooler weather, I will be making more myself.
