Non Weight Bearing Exercises

I have to start doing non weight bearing exercises until I can build the muscle back in my knee. My doctor suggested swimming but there is no way I can fit swimming into my daily routine. He said I could walk slowly, no more hikes for a while and no more riding my bike on the trails just a stationary bike. I felt like he was punishing me or something :-)
Any other exercises you can suggest would be greatly appreciated. I am thinking about buying a trainer for my bike so I can ride it as a stationary bike at home, I guess I will just open the windows and imagine I'm back on the trail.

Hooping (hoop dance in particular) can be fun, especially if you enjoy dancing.0

I haven't heard of hooping before, I love to dance so this should be interesting research. Thank you.0
