You will love it once you get used to logging everything. Feel free to friend me, I'm on here daily and am happy to help if possible.0

Just give it time. It took me a couple of weeks of regular exercise and monitoring what I have been eating. So far I am down about 15 lbs after about 2 months. I try to set small goals to meet each day and each week, even if they aren't weight loss goals. Don't put too much pressure on yourself and be realistic on what you want to acheive and it will make it much easier to make it happen. Good Luck!0

This website is awesome! I found it long ago and sadly just started getting into it. Just made plans to
go to Vegas in December and need to kick it in gear! We can all use all the help we can get0 -
Hi, I am also new to this! I have been gaining, not losing and am very frustrated with myself. I have made a decision TODAY that I am going to add minimum of 30 minutes of exercise everyday. I am 25 years old and have a very social life with friends and family. We are often eating out or going for a drink or 3. I need motivation to stay focused too! Please, feel free in adding me! Keep it up! It will come with time!0

I hear you. Me too but I also don't think I am working hard enough. I have a hubby and kids so i make dinner and i eat what they eat, I am also trying to start shopping healthier so that the family can eat right.. But I've been doing this for 2 weeks and no progress, I have good days where i eat well, work out and then the calorie intake goes up if i work out. So to me that don't make sense, but then I have the lazy days where i just relax, eat ok but not work out. It's a battle!!!0

I would be happy to be a support0

How do you add someone?0

Weekend are always the worst for me. I get lazy and feel like i can eat without counting my calories, then i add it in here and i over do it.:sad:0

It is not easy and takes discipline but as a team, we can do this together. My daughter in law and I compete and we enjoy seeing who loses more. You are welcome to join us. Hang in there. If I can do this, anyone can!0

Sandy...you can certainly add this old biker as I have some pretty good friends who have given me support and helped me in my success. I would also recommend that you fill out your profile information as that will attract people who have things in common. Even though I seemed to have attracted a pretty wide variety of people as MFP friends, I also have friends that are bikers. My friends are all wonderful. I typically delete those who are not very active in comments as it is tough keeping up with a lot of people and the few I have, I try to be very engaged in their progress.
Be careful with the advice that is given as well. There a lot of "self-proclaimed" experts in cyberspace. There are also a lot of opinionated (in a negative sense) people out there, but they generally don't stay on my friends list very long. One thing I really appreciate is that my friends know how to "coach" me in a motivating way. They are the best!!
Good luck. It takes a Village sometimes.0 -

Weekends are the worst for me too. When i am at work during the week, I don't have time to think about food and since I have to get up early, I go ahead & get my exercise out of the way for the day.0
