Tim, are you a flight officer? Not on the new Ospreys are you?0 -
I started flying EA6Bs
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/EA-6B
Only, the pipeline had a little problem - Too many Pilots, Not enough Jets.
So I ended up having an option to swith over into Communications. Been a CommO ever since!
LOVE the Osprey though! Its incredible for what it can do! I am glad the program wasnt scrapped. The squadron we had in Iraq did an amazing job!
People seem to forget that we wrecked 1 in 6 planes landing on Air Craft Carriers when that first started! Now they are our largest ships!0 -
Haha, I have a good friend at Cherry Point that got me access to board an Osprey. Very cool little bird.0

God bless our military men and women. You are all heroes.0

I was amazed the first time flying in one. The climb rate was definitely an awesome amusement park ride. Was really interesting feeling like the engines were turning down (from 90% to 60%) as the wings rotated to fixed wing mode, yet we were accelerating. Without windows, it felt like we were falling, but really its just that much more efficient once in fixed wing mode.0

Hubby was in the Air Force for 8 years. We loved it, but he had some other things he wanted to pursue so I supported him getting out, but boy do we miss it.0

Sounds like your a VERY PROUD ARMY FAMILY!!!
From one military woman to another thank your daughter for her sacrifice as well as her husband's. I know how hard it is being dual military. It's a challenge! But well worth it if both can accomplish it!0 -
Greetings! I love my Military Men & Women! Thank you all for keeping us safe!
Prior to retirement I provided administrative support to the Naval Air Force.
My Son served as an Army Ranger, Special Ops.
My biological father is retired Air Force Mech who served in Korea, Vietman and Dessert Storm...he commandered a helicopter to help some troops that were in trouble...he was the one that raced a motorcycle into town, gambling against the headwire boobytraps so he could bring back beer for the fellas...he ran a motorcycle off a cliff in Japan and a tree caught him and saved him, he got into some trouble that time...they finally forced him into retirement.
My Legal Father was a Military Contractor prior to retirement and my Mom was a General's secretary until she married my Dad.0
