Help! I love this site and the food list is huge but I get confused with some of the measurments as it is mainly American. What is 1 cup in g and mls or ozs and fl ozs?? Ive looked on the net and everyone seems to have a different opinion but I need to get the measurements right for the calories.
Thanks! X

1 cup is 8 ounces (volume). It can't be converted to grams or ounces (weight) because... well, because volume and weight are 2 different standards of measurement. To be cliche', that would be like comparing apples to oranges.0

To add to the above response, g is a measurement of weight. So, each item will have a different weight in g even though there is a cup of each. For example: A cup of water will be heavier and higher in grams than a cup of feathers.0

If is it a liquid 1 cup = 250 ml = 8 fl oz.
If is a solid then it can be difficult to figure out.
I find that if I do not know then I will use Google by typing in what I need to convert from and to.0
