YAY girls like me! Feel free to add! I'm not there yet, but battling the broad shoulders and huge hips can be a battle on some days. I feel ya!! Yay for not being stick-tiny (not that there's anything wrong with that, just my preference)!

I'm 5'8.5", large-boned hourglass with a 6.55" wrist. I have always been buxon and curvy.

Here is a pic of me at my highest weight. The photo was taken not long after I was diagnosed with PCOS and hypothyroidism (about 5 years ago). I gained about 50 extra pounds in a relatively short time, despite eating healthy and staying active. Here I am at around 250lbs and was wearing a size 18W or 20. I don't think I kept any 'full body' shots, around that time! I was so unhappy.

    Image1.png

...and here I am today in a 14/16 (38DDD). I still want to lose another dress size or two. (My goal is a size 12/14.) I realize that, even when I reach my goal size, I'll still be considered "plus sized"... I don't really care as long as I'm healthy and happy with the way I look. :-)

I disregard the scale and only weigh myself once every few months to make sure I'm eating enough for my weight, and to keep my HRM measurements accurate. I run and Zumba 4-5 times a week, eat back my exercise calories, and am getting stronger and healthier by the day! YAY!

I'm with everyone else who has said what a knockout you are. Holy cow! You are just....*gorgeous*

Here's a link from the US Gubmit about frame size:

    http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/imagepages/17182.htm

I am 5'8" and have a 6.5" diameter wrist, so a large frame. And, I actually have moderately bony wrists (and legs. It's all in by belly. Thanks, genetics.), so no one can say it's because I have fat wrists. Just "fat bones, LOL." What kind of crunches does one have to do for THAT?? ;)

I have no after, so no before pics yet. But SOON.

ETA: Basically, because of frame size, I get rather eye-rolly about things like BMI. It's such a narrow view on body type and what's healthy. I really think can can promote poor body image.

That's actually kind of depressing...I have a 7.5" wrist so I either have more fat than I realize on them or a *huge* frame :embarassed:

Hope this helps keep you motivated...it did for me! This is a comparison I did after losing 25 lbs and hitting my halfway mark!

In the picture on the left I weighed 265. On the right I weighed 240.

    April1-July31.jpg

I'm currently at 235 and I'll be taking another comparison when I hit 225 (my DL weight!)

Aw... please don't be embarassed or depressed about it.

What is wrong with having a large frame? Absolutely nothing! It's strong and beautiful! Seeing all these photos of lovely large-framed ladies is inspiring! It's just how your body structure is built... learn to love it. :)

Im large framed just starting out.

That wrist wrapping test doesnt work for me as my fingers are stupidly long and wrap around my wrist and overlap ... despite having a 7.5 inch wrist!

SW 210 GW 154lb or less depending on how I feel ... Im 5ft 7 and a bit

I started on 7th January, and the pics go up to last week. I lost my fiance to a heart attack in between and I fell off the wagon for a while. I am just under 6 foot tall, and I am quite broadly built x
