dont know how many of you have a wii but thought I would put this out there for those of you who do or are thinking about it. I played the most fun game the other day at a friends house. Its called "Just Dance" and it was fun....and it got my heart puming and I got a pretty good sweat on! Its a game where you can chose from about 30 songs and either a short or full version. You follow the dance moves on the screen and get points for matching the movements and timing! It was soooo fun. The music selection is pretty good too...there's something for everyone. A great way to get in some cardio for those of us who dread the treadmill and need to make it fun!!!
I have heard about the game and have been trying to get it, but it's been sold out everywhere!
Thanks for the suggestion, good to hear that it's as fun as it looks!
I forgot to post my weigh in, but I remained the same.0 -
I want to be apart of this. I have a lot to lose. I am just getting started I have let myself go for way to long. I want to live to have Grand Children some day.

Got in my first workout last night in over 2 weeks... I'm a little sore, nothing bad. Did Day1Week1 of Chalean Extreme.
Tonight is Day1Week1 of C25K :glasses:0 -
Speaking of intense workouts, my boyfriend mentioned to me that it might be a good idea that after 2 weeks (I'm just starting week 3) I might want to up the intensity of my workouts? What do you girls think?
-- Cate
It certainly can't HURT... maybe if you increase the intensity for a couple of days this week and see how you feel? If it works well you can do a couple of more days at higher intensity the next week?0 -
I think I'm going to try to work out after work, I usually work til 4 and get home by 4:30 so I think that I will try that for now. I recently went to the chiropractor and my being tired comes from my issues in my neck/spine somehow! I'm also going to try to go to bed a half hour early and see how that works
I have been eating healthier, and doing some situps and leg work outs when I do manage to get up! I just hope I see some results in the near future. Ive done it before I know I can do it again. I just need to get motivated and stay motivated. Thats usually my problem.0 -

Cate - I agree. It can't hurt to change it up and make it a little more intense, probably best to start with just a few days and work up from there. And don't forget to plan a day of rest!
I had my kickboxing DVD today, pilates class tomorrow, and then ZUMBA on Thursday! I never thought that I could exercise 4 days out of the week, but I can and I love it!0 -
OK well, I just got home from a very late class. Didnt have dinner and on the way home, like a moth to flame, did the unthinkable and stopped by a Taco Bell. Thought it would be ok to have a fresco bean burrito and a grilled chicken soft taco with the "diet menu". Not a good idea. I went way over my calories and maxed, maxed, maxed out my sodium. What was I thinking??
I thought well go ahead, log your food, and move on. Do my best tomorrow right?
Mini- goal. Thursday is my weigh in. I need to make it count. Im gonna put extra effort in tomorrow morning at the gym.0 -
how are you all doing? having a tough week, have no idea what thursday will bring, best of luck to us all! :drinker:0

great ideas for a challenge guys! :drinker:0 -
I've got a question. If my BMR is 1614 calories/day and MFP tells me to eat 1200 calories/day to lose 1.2 lbs or so per week, how can that be since the difference between 1614 and 1200 for 7 days doesn't equal even 1 lb per week? I know that when I exercise, I'll burn more, but then MFP tells me to eat those calories. I'm confused.0

Hi all!
I was out of town for a week and didn't get a chance to weigh in. I was on vacation and didn't have any expectation of weight loss, even though I did exercise (flying always makes me retain water like crazy!)
Here's my stats for the week:
12/31- 190 lbs
1/7- 187 lbs
1/21- 183 lbs
Total lost in 2010: 7 lbs
Goals for the week:
Eat all 1200 cals + exercise calories
Exercise at least 4 days
Get 8 glasses of water intake to take down my water retention from the flight!0 -
My goals this week:
Eat 1490 calories or less/day
Run Saturday, Monday, and Wednesday
Continue drinking water from water challenge
Continue eating fruits & Veggies from fruit/veggie challenge0 -
 I am happy to report my 6 pound weight loss this week. I did a Biggest Loser workout and this is the first time in a long time I have seen great results. My starting weight was 207 and after the first week I had gained 2 more pounds. Then this past week, I had to find something that will make me drop the pounds so I did the Biggest Loser workouts (i.e.2 different cardio workouts for 30-45 minutes ea, w/ circuit strength training after the cardio. i did this for 5 days. And of course, I am eating right, and when I grave sweets, I will stick a piece of Extra gum in my mouth. I found myself eating no more than 1200 calories because what I eat fills me up especially when I drink water behind every meal. I also spread out the times I eat, and I do not put anything in my mouth past 7:30pm except water.
Current weight is 202
My goal weight is 150-155
I will be continuing this regimen until I reach my ideal weight because it works for me.
Good luck everyone and have a great week!:flowerforyou:0
