MyFitnessPal Recipes

Hey guys and gals!

Can y'all link me to some of the recipes you've posted/used on your myfitnesspal? I have a couple of my own, but I'd love to have a bunch of other ones that I don't have to enter in from another website. I would link to the few recipes I've entered into the site, but I can't figure out how!

Ingredients I'm partial to:
Chicken
Broccoli
Rice
Pasta
Beans (of any kind)
tomatoes
potatoes
Tofu
nuts (of any kind)

I don't do well with spicy food, and I'm allergic to seafood. I love almost all vegetables (though I am not a huge face of summer squashes or eggplant), but my boyfriend will eat very few, and even less of them if they are cooked. I'm the one dieting/using myfitnesspal, but I'm trying to have him diet with me so we can both get healthy. Feel free to suggest recipes with lots of veggies in them though. If it's something he won't eat, I can always make something else for him!

Thanks in advance, guys!

I'm not sure. I've seen people do it, but I can't figure it out.
  • I don't think you can actually see the recipes that other people post in their recipe boxes. Here's a couple of my recipes that I like:

Tinola with Bok Choy and Carrots

    1 Tbsp Canola Oil
    6 cloves Garlic
    1/2 yellow onion
    1/4 cup ginger
    300g chicken breast
    1 container bok choy
    6 cups water
    1 chicken oxo cube
    1 tsp salt
    2 carrots

Heat oil in pot. Add garlic and brown. Add the onion and sliced ginger; saute. Add chicken and water and bring to a boil. Add oxo cube, and salt, continue to boil. When chicken is cooked add bok choy and carrots.

    Barbecued Pork

    1kg Pork Chops
    1 tsp Epicure's Chili Seasoning
    1 tsp Epicure's Fajita Seasoning
    1 large onion, diced
    1 cup ketchup
    1/3 cup Worcestershire sauce
    2 cups water
    1 green pepper
    2 cups cauliflower

    1. Place pork in pot. Combine remaining ingredients. Pour over pork and bring to a boil until pork is cooked. If sauce gets too thick, add more water.

    Pineapple Glazed Pork Chops

    1 — 14 oz (398 ml) can pineapple chunks
    1 Tbsp (15 ml) Epicure's Cuban Seasoning
    4 — 4 oz (125 g) pork loin chops
1 Tbsp (15 ml) vegetable oil
    1 red bell pepper, sliced
    6 carrots, sliced
    2 cups green beans
    6 celery stalks

    1. Drain pineapple, reserving juice. Whisk approximately 1/4 cup (60 ml) pineapple juice with Cuban Seasoning and rub onto all sides of pork. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
    2. Heat Frying Pan to medium-high. Add oil and pork chops and carrots. Brown pork on one side, turn over, add pepper, green beans and celery and cook for approximately 3 minutes, stirring regularly.
    3. Add pineapple, and remaining juice. Simmer until pork is fully cooked and juice is reduced to a syrupy glaze.
    4. Serve warm over steamed rice.

    Teriyaki Chicken

    5 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
    2 tablespoons olive oil
    2 garlic cloves, minced
    2 teaspoons brown sugar
    1 teaspoon ground ginger
    1 teaspoon coarsely ground pepper
    4 chicken thighs

    1. In a large resealable plastic bag, combine the first six ingredients; add chicken. Seal bag and turn to coat; refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight.
    2. Put in pot or frying pan and cook until no longer pink in middle.

I use a lot of recipes from this site and quite a few of them are already listed, if not they are easy to add as they provide all the nutritional information.
  • What I did with my recipes was take screen shots of the nutritional information and then copied and pasted the images into Microsoft Word. Then I copied and pasted the information from the directions portion. I used PDF Creator to make a PDF of the whole thing once I was done. I keep all of my recipes on DropBox. :)

    1) Chicken & Broccoli White Pizza - We are having this for dinner tonight. It freezes well. To reheat, place frozen pizza in preheated oven (400F) and bake for app. 15 minutes.
a single slice plus salad will satisfy you.

    2) Mango Salsa - This is my favorite recipe from an outside source. I like to serve it with BBQ chicken (Sweet Baby Ray's Honey BBQ sauce compliments it nicely), rosemary potatoes, and
    salad or grilled zucchini.

    3) Rosemary Potatoes - These go great with chicken, pork, steak... and they are also great reheated with eggs in the morning!

    4) Seasoned Oven Fries - We make these pretty often to go with turkey burgers, hot dogs, or breaded fish.

These do not have Nutritional Information included, but they are Weight Watcher recipes you might want to try out, you will just have
to put them in the recipe calculator first to calculate the info.
