starting over in MN

looking for Pals to share & help with new ideas.............

I have spent most of my life overweight...doing a lot of yo-yoing....urrgghh once again I am back to square one. My plan is to try journaling? What should I all have in my journals?

    I have been on MFP for over 8 months now, it is a great site and with great friends it can be very motivating!
  • Hi there, I'm in MN also - you need to log everything you eat and drink, plus don't forget your exercise also. There is a huge data base of food, and you can save your own recipies - it takes a little practice but it will become a "habit". There is also a huge data base of different types of exercise, even housework!!!! Logging exercise is great because you will get extra cals to eat if you want to. I have my MFP set up to lose 1lb a week, I am in this for the long run and like food to much to want to lose any faster. I've been a member for a while, but finally got my act together June 23rd. I added friends because I like the support I get and really enjoy browsing other peoples diaries, although it does not bother me if people have closed diaries - each to their own, but I do think "friends" help. Feel free to add me, the more the merrier
